What a hidden gem! Came up for the day from NYC and was looking for a spot that had good vegan and gluten free options. Found this place and it was amazing!! Even my hard to please dad was raving and can’t wait to come back.

30 min wait for food. Every dish is somewhat asian-inspired but doesn't hit the mark in "must-have" or uniqueness. Overpriced food. No personality or warmth from staff. You're only paying for the atmosphere and essentially only for the waiter to say hi, take your order and give you a +$100 check.

We were walking around New Milford on Sunday, October 6th deciding where to have a mid-day lunch. We were fortunate to discover Sparrow on Bank St. The food is best described as Asian Fusion and the flavors were outstanding. We had mushroom potstickers, lomo saltado and topped it off with a yellow squash creme brulee. My wife started with a nice rose from France and I had a "San Francisco" which exploded with flavors and had a nice bite going down my palette.
Our waiter, Austin was excellent! He was knowledgeable, well versed in all areas of the menu and made great suggestions. Austin was a personable young man with a great sense of humor. One of the best waiters we have ever had at any restaurant we have visited. All in all, it was a great experience, good food and a relaxing atmosphere.

Great atmosphere and excellent service. 2nd time there and was very pleased again... I'll definitely be going back. The owner, John, even greeted us with a smile and some stories. A great time!
Great upmarket eatery and bar with great service and attention to detail.
I didn't eat here, so can't comment on the food.
I just came in with my wife for cocktails and desert.
Perfect service, attentive, not intrusive. And the best cocktails I've had in recent memory.
Deserts delicious also.
I didn't give it 5 stars just because I didn't eat the food.
Maybe next time.

I’ve been here at least 10 times and it seriously gets better every time -which is saying a lot since they wowed my entire family on day one! Cocktails to dessert and every menu item in between are thoughtfully and creatively prepared. Presentation is artful and portion sizes are perfect. The service is attentive and highly professional. And if all of that wasn’t enough, the indoor space is well designed and welcoming. On my most recent visit, we enjoyed their patio which sits on this quintessential New England town’s most happening street. Get there before the accolades start pouring in and you can’t get a reservation because veteran restaurateur, John Bordeau has outdone himself!

Recommended dishes: Mushroom Bibimbap, Beer Battered Cod, Smashed Cucumber Salad, Okonomiyaki Onion Rings
Such a fun little place with nice outdoor seating. Chill atmosphere with amazing service, food and drinks. Everyone was very attentive and helped us select some dishes since this was our first time. Every option on the menu sounded delicious so it was difficult to choose. For apps we had the crunchy shrimp and tomato ricotta toast, and for dinner the lomo saltado and mushroom bulgogi bowl.
Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options on the menu which are great.

This was our first time here since the restaurant changed hands. It’s has a modern Brooklyn type vibe with a nice patio . We started with the KFC Bao Buns which was like a spicy fried chicken slider with gochujang sauce , and we also ordered the focaccia which added pesto which was a nice touch. For mains I ordered Lomo Saltado which is like steak stir fry South American style and my wife had the. Cod taco . Both were flavorful with an international flair . If you like craft cocktails this is the place to go, plenty of imagination behind the bar, and if you don’t feel like boozing it up they have tasty fresh juice drinks , my wife had the carrot and beet juice and she loved it ..

On paper, Sparrow's menu seems tailor-made for me. Every dish on our handful of visits were well plated but off in execution.
KFC bao buns? Yes, please! Except that the fried chicken lacked seasoning or crunch.
Smashed fried potatoes? I'll take all of them. Except that they were more oily than crispy. Also the salsa verde wasn't green, that's a bad sign.
The bibimbap is for mixing. But so many picked vegetables, like jalapenos, just don't work. And the kimchi, which should be a highlight tasted like it came from a Wildbrine jar. At least the fried egg was good.
Smashed cucumber salad only saw the chili oil in passing and never met the ginger. At least the added shrimp were done well.
The beer battered fish tacos were on point, if you ignored the burnt outer tortillas.
Maybe the clue is in the name. Because their drinks are good. Both their alcoholic and non-alcoholic were done very well. The restaurant portion, I can only recommend if you're already several drinks in. At that point the texture of the fried chicken probably doesn't matter.

I was really looking forward to going to this restaurant. It took 45 minutes for the 1 and only server to take our order. The drinks were disgusting or weak and watered down. The decor and vibe is muted and almost sterile. Uncomfortable. The food was just gross. Poorly described and not harmonious. Overpriced and just right to the banned list for us.

Food was great. Server was great. My problem is price. $14 for a local beer. 15 for 5 onion rings.

Great new restaurant for New Milford, and they’re open Monday night! Went with family and all 5 of us enjoyed the food and drinks. Onion rings are a must try! Best any of us has ever had. Shrimp were perfectly cooked. The Sparrow salad was awesome. Only negative was that certain things seemed overpriced, such as draft beer at $12.

My wife and I met a couple of friends last night at Sparrow Bar. We had not been there since it was Zaragoza (which we loved). Sparrow is a great place. Highly recommend. Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Staff was super attentive. I really wonderful intimate environment. We all agreed we'll definitely be coming back very soon.FYI - the fried chicken with gravy and a biscuit is really amazing.
