Truly a very attentive and caring staff. The food was excellent and the beer options were a pleasant surprise. The shepherds pie was delicious and the portions were very large. The staff really make you feel cared about.
My new favorite local, the staff are always very friendly.
I kinda avoid the abbey. I have had their Guinness Beef stew and it’s been outstanding. I’ve order the same dish and it’s been a poor version of shepherds pie (two different dishes). I assume it’s who is cooking.
The ambience is mediocre.
I really want to like it and have been there a number of times over the years, but at times it’s been good, but mostly not so much.
A friend took me to The Abbey for the first time last night because I was in desperate need of a burger. While the outside of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, I was pleasantly surprised to see a packed restaurant on a Sunday night. The booths, rustic wood, and black and white photos of Westminster Abbey definitely added to the charm.
While we were seated immediately, I have to admit that the noise level was a tad overwhelming. Still, I enjoyed the separate bar seating and the various TVs to catch up on sports news.
To my own surprise, I actually wound up ordering a Pulled Pork Sandwich and a Captain a Coke to go with.
From the first sip of my drink, I definitely felt The Abbey was a tad stingy with their pours—ice was the priority, not a quality drink. However, my sandwich was divine. The pork was tender and the barbecue sauce had a nice sweetness. The fries themselves were odd—somehow a soggy, overly crisp steak fry, while edible shouldn’t be a first choice for a side.
Regardless, I enjoyed the service here and I think my friend and I paid about $50 for a sandwich, burger, one soda, and one alcoholic beverage. So, if you’re looking for a family-friendly, cheap hang-out, The Abbey is definitely a quality spot.
Just left and was compelled to review immediately. First, if anyone from the restaurant reads this please tell the chef they are amazing. Blown away at the level of the skill and attention to detail even on appetizers. I have always wanted to try Banzino and figured tonight was that time. Omg! Outstanding. Our server Jill was great and even the hostess made sure we had seats so we could see the basketball game. That level start to finish is five start without question. I fully recommend this place to everyone, be it a family after a youth baseball game, a couple dressed up looking for a drink before going to an event, or like is two dudes on a camping/fishing trip taking a break to watch hoops. Perfection.
Awesome food and customer service...especially Hannah. A+++
Food quality / price (value) rating 10. The atmosphere is Irish pub and restaurant. This was our first time here. The food was excellent, and the prices for food and drinks were very reasonable. The memu is quite varied, and is not limited to Irish dishes. They also had a good number of specials. I had the Branzino - Mediterranean Sea Bass with sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and black olives over mashed potatoes with a superior and unique citrus wine sauce - excellent! The wife had the Beef Stew, and it had a wonderful unique flavor. The portion was on the small side, however. They offer a limited, but well chosen, draught beer list. The bar is large with plenty of screens for sports, separated from the dining room by a large glass wall. We'll definitely come back!
My girls and I stumbled upon this place and OMG!!!! The food is fantastic, everything we ate was super fresh and delish. How did we not know about this place???? My kids are saying it’s their favorite restaurant and now want to come back for their birthday dinner. The atmosphere is perfect and the staff is soooooo friendly. Our waitress Charlie was excellent, personality on point, I wanna throw her in the take home bag as well hahaha. We had to ask to speak to the manager to tell them how much we love it and he comped our desert! 5 stars all the way!!!! Can we move here so it’s closer lol. Thank you guys ?

Avoid this restaurant at all cost. Unless you are craving old French fries and cold food then avoid this at all cost. My food was 1/5 quality but it was my waitress who absolutely turned the night upside down.

The food and atmosphere were great. It was not particularly busy when we came in, so we were permitted to choose where we wanted to sit. We were promptly given water and menus, and our server was very attentive. The food was excellent, I had the veggie burger with a fried egg on top. The roll and side salad were fresh, the coleslaw was flavorful, and the service was friendly. We were even briefly greeted by the owner, Frank, to check how our time was. Very warm and inviting atmosphere, would probably even more so at dinner with more people. I would go back again if I were in the area.

The chubby white girl in the front is really something else. She’s got such an attitude towards everyone. Maybe she needs to lay off the Fried food to help with her depression or something. Either way, I wouldn’t trust it that girl doesn’t steal a fry or two from every customer’s plate
