Fantastic brew-pub with a rotating selection of beers made on location and a selection of finger food (pizza, hot dog, pretzel, etc) available. Everything from lagers to IPAs to wheat on tap. There is outdoor seating on warmer days and live music occasionally. Great place to relax, have a beer and let the kids run around outside.
Delicious beer and AMAZING pizza!!
My absolute favorite place to go and relax with friends — and my dog — is Newsylum. The selection of brews is fantastic — definitely something for everyone. (Try the new stout; it’s perfection: not too heavy, nice dry finish.)
But I’m never sure what draws me there most: the beer or the pizza. My new favorite is the chimi chorizo pizza. *finger kiss*. I actually have more of the pickle pizza leftover than the chorizo because we killed it. Shocking, right?
In the end, though, I think what draws me there most is the friendly vibe. It’s just a great place to hang.
Yeah, never mind. It’s that I can take my dog for a walk on the beautiful grounds and then keep my best pal with me outside while I chow down on pizza and wash it down with some of the best brews ever.
We truly enjoy NewSylum and that has been over the past couple of years. Just for anyone who likes their pizza, the "Pickle Pizza" may sound odd, however, it is a GREAT addition to the regular menu. Thank You NewSylum for making the add to the regular menu. Will be stopping by more often, just for that!!
Incredible experience. We received our flights in less than 2 minutes after ordering. We thought the runner made a mistake. We tried everything on the menu and enjoyed nearly everything. Highly recommended!
Great brewery with awesome tasting beer and some food options. They also have gluten free crust for their pizzas in case you need that option. Does get busy around peak hours so keep that in mind if you are traveling with a large group.
The whole territory and the setting is so unique and fascinating. The only thing that would ruin it is mediocre beer or bad service. Beer is very good, and service even on a busy Saturday for us was attentive and quick. This is a must-visit.
Dig this place, great vibe, good hot dogs and pizza. Great beer too!
I had been in this brewery a couple times and is convenient when you are visiting the old building around, I saw that they have a canned espresso martini in the menu and I ordered one, (I love this espresso martini from Two Roads), so when I got the espresso martini it came in a small glass with a lot of ice, so I asked the server if this was a full can (which you can tell that it was not) and she told us that the Two Roads rep told them to use just half of the can per serving, so I told her that I thought that because on the many said canned cocktails it will be a full can, she immediately said that I can have the other half but I will be charged double…. So I was like… what?? Are they really going to charge $18 for a can that cost $4 at the liquor??… so we ordered beer and walk around the buildings.. when we came back for another round of beers, we went straight to the bar to order and the guy said that we cannot ordered from the bar (which is weird) he said that we need to seat in a table and someone will take our order… I think this was weird because we just wanted to get a drink and sit down outside… so next time I’ll bring my cooler in my trunk and I’ll have my full canned martini and I won’t need to seat down to order a beer…
Friendly. Unique Environment in an old Asylum building. Never had a bad brew.

Atmosphere and food was fun and tasty. Service wasn’t great, would benefit from better management.
Love this place! Great atmosphere, pleasant staff, good beer and pizza. It's mysecond time there and it won't be the last.
We went this past Sunday. Great pizza and beer. The service was awesome. The place is clean and there was even a band setting up. We will be going back. Oh the pretzel and the beer mustard was delicious. Games to be played outside. The only downside was the hoodie was $55.00. Sorry but that is way to high for a hoodie that is advertising for your business.
What a time to be alive. I came to this brewery after having a fantastic time at two other local breweries, but it absolutely brought me back down to earth. Firstly, it took about 22 minutes to just get a menu at our table (no QR code at the table). Secondly, once we finally got a menu and ordered a beer, it took another 25 minutes for the beers to get to our table, at which point we were told the beers would be comped because it took so long (they weren’t). Then we tried to order pizza (no more pizza) okay cool, I understand that sometimes supplies run out..no problem. Ordered two hot dogs and a pretzel….another 30 minutes. Not only did the dawgs and pretzel take long, but I saw broccoli head Jake at the food station playing with my glizzy with his barehands. I’m low maintenance, so I don’t care and I says to myself maybe my glizzy and pretzel will still be very good……WRONG, glizzy is a basic saberet glizzy that you can boil at home in 5 minutes. Operation is run by a bunch of kids and to sum it up? Wack.
Good beers and great service!
