I've dined here several times over the past few years and have always said it's one of the best restaurants around, however, after last night I don't have the same opinion. While my daughter and one son Enjoyed their meals, mine was pretty terrible. After asking for my steak to be medium well our server told me “no it will just be beef jerky on a plate”. Should have just ordered something else right then and there. What I received was a piece of charred steak that was raw on the inside. The “ambiance” is also odd - a few times we have stopped in to grab a drink at the bar and they act like they are doing you a huge favor. The owner or manager lurking around is also kind of off putting.

Atmosphere is so chic. Amazing wine list. Food was overall delicious however my appetizer was barely warm. I had the grilled octopus and it got cold in the back as service was overall very slow. Servers were super nice just in the weeds with a full house on a Fri. Night. Will definitely be back and hopefully it will be better.

The service was fantastic. We were debating between two different wines so they gave us a sample of each to make the choice easier. The mussels were amazing as well as the pork chop and black cod. It got quite noisy but it was a Saturday night and to be expected. We had the sticky pudding for dessert which I highly recommend. It was a lovely dinner and so special having dishes that I would never prepare at home. A delightful evening!!
This place never disappoints. The food is always creative and perfectly cooked. On this visit had the short rib over polenta. The meat just fell apart and the rich sauce was perfect with the polenta. The black cod was also outstanding in flavor. Love that the menu changes with the seasons. Always something new to look forward to.

Much better than the last time (from a service perspective). The food is and has been outstanding. Although I would not that the wait staff should probably be trained how to properly handle a wine decanter. When the decanter drips, it would be more appropriate to wipe it with a napkin vs. your thumb ! Everything else was spot on !

Google only goes up to 5 stars - but I'd give the service at Nouveau Monde 6 if I could. The attention to detail was next level and that's before we discuss the food and cocktails. It is a treasure to have in my neighborhood.

My wife and I had one of worst dinners ever at Nouve Monde last night and it was expensive. She ordered hanger steak, which was the most expensive item on the menu. It was fatty and so tough, she could hardly chew it. Unfortunately, she didn’t tell me that until we were on our way home. It should have been sent back. I ordered the pork chop with a bacon sauce. Instead of a hint of bacon, the sauce was overpowering and all I could taste bacon. Ken B
