Been going to Sal e Pepe’s in Newtown for years. It was always our go-to restaurant for special occasions. We went recently and I was very disappointed. Yes, the service and the ambiance were terrific as always. But c’mon guys-if you’re going to charge $$$ for your dishes, at least give your patrons their money’s worth. First time there. Our hostess was also preparing drinks, answering the phone and then she was our server! What a trooper. Lots of menu choices. Meals were all delish: baked rigatoni, penne vodka, chicken Frances, beef stroganoff and a cavatelli dish. Yum! Lovely atmosphere.
Had a lovely Valentines dinner with my husband. 💘
