I have not visited Sal e Pepe in many years and was excited to return. However, I have to say that it was not the most delicious Italian food I've ever had. The sauce was just not as good as you would expect from a restaurant specializing in Italian food. It was simply fine, but not exceptional. I hope your experience will be different.
Repeat offender of this establishment Never disappoints. Everything prepared right and flavorful. Don't pass up a chance to dine here.
As always the food, service and pleasantness of the staff were all top notch! This award winning restaurant is so consistently great!
Dinner was fabulous! Servers are young but very attentive and hardworking! So glad to see and am very complimentary of them! Great job by entire staff! Kitchen too!
There was an excellent selection of appetizers and mains, with large portions of hearty Italian specialties. The service was excellent. The cocktails were very good, with an interesting selection. We will definitely return!
We've never had a bad meal here. The main mussels in Gorgonzola cream sauce appetizer is outstanding!
They always do such a good job there. Good food and great service. We have never had a bad meal there.
Love the good selection with traditional and unique dishes. Been going here for years and never disappointed. The service is great with friendly and attentive staff. Love there lava coke.
Excellent pre Mother's Day menu We both enjoyed the mussels juicy and sand free The paperdella seafood dish was excellent Shannon the waitress was very attentive
We had reservations and upon checking - in, the host sat us right near the ladies room in a booth. We asked for another table away from the bathroom, and he ushered to another booth still close to the ladies room. Please note, we were the only patrons in the restaurant. The food was underwhelming and over-priced. Let's start with the rubbery tasteless bread - yes, hard to believe for an Italian restaurant. The pasta was overcooked - yes, hard to believe for an Italian restaurant. The chicken piccata was fair, and the puttanesca sauce was sweet instead salty. We vowed to never set foot in this restaurant again!

Always a pleasure. We had requested a quiet table. When we were seated, we were directly under a speaker, playing some not subtle music. We asked if it could be made lower, which was done immediately and graciously, and we were able to continue our meal, easily able to converse with friends we had not seen in a long time. We felt so welcome, we probably inadvertently overstayed until closing. Sal e Pepe is always the best!
Was an amazing dinner!! Menu had many options that all sounded delicious! They had a wide list of specials too! Our choices were scrumptious! The service was attentive and very courteous!! The ambiance was relaxed We had a spacious table. At the end, we asked to take home the bread with the yummy olive oil and parmigiana cheese spread, the server packed it up for us immediately! Planning to go back soon!!
Wait staff very attentive; kitchen extremely flexible re substitutions, etc; food delicious; great dining night!
Food and service was good but a little disappointed. My husband called in advance and told them it was my birthday and to bring a cake with candle after dinner but they didn't. It was also a little out of the way for us. I would go again but only if in the area.
Service good from all of the staff. Problem was in having to wait more than 1/2 hour to get our dinner .
