Everything is super fresh and there is a great selection. Just a few places to sit but most people are taking away anyway.

Bagels are always great. Very disorganized. Last time they couldn't figure out how to use the register. THIS TIME THEY FORGOT OR LOST OUR ORDER. 30 minutes for 2 bagels. Then they questioned if we paid. Hahaha. They were better when they were smaller.

Traveling in the area and stopped off to grab some food before hitting the road. Haven’t even tried the product and don’t even care if it’s the best bagel I’ve ever had. You should never have to wait 30 mins for a freaking bagel.

They were really busy today, and even though I didn’t get the bagel that I ordered, I ended up with an everything bagel and it was still really good. Appreciate the effort and service despite the rush!

I have been a loyal customer for the last 3 years. Every weekend ordering breakfast and cookies (they have the best cookies). Lately seeing the way the owner (Deke) treats his staff is very upsetting. The food really is very good, but his attitude toward people who work with him, not okay. Watching and hearing him yell at his staff (in front of customers) is unprofessional and frankly embarrassing. I understand the world is short staffed and that’s difficult to manage, but try kindness for people who show up to work with you.

Usually great spot for the weekend. Drove 20 min to get here. They ran out of eggs. Took 10 min to approach the window. They seemed understaffed on a weekend. Ridiculous. Gonna take a break from them.

Came back today from Norwich. No salt bagels. No everything bagels. No sausage for sausage egg and cheese. Never again !

Bagels were great! Not a huge variety but taste and value 5/5. They make their own spreads too. Nothing bad to say about this place. As good as a New England bagel that I have ever tried. Crispy outside and soft chewy not too fluffy.

Found this hidden gem a few years back, as I frequently visit Old Lyme.
I was raised on good bagels and these are top notch.
I can eat these without a smear of CC / untoasted.
Their bagel sandwich combos are great!
I also very much enjoy their coffee.
To each their own opinion, but I've eaten bagels from Boston, to foodie Vermont, to Zabars in NYC, and the old deli's of Miami.
These are top notch for freshness and quality.
There is a reason they are busy....just sayin....

Bagels are great - slightly crunchy but soft on the inside. I especially love the salt bagels!

Overall vibe and service is a little off - I was in town for a week and we went several times (because the bagels were so good!) but service strange each time. We were given the wrong bagels twice (always check the bag) and each time they seemed to be out of the majority of their menu items. I would have loved to try a dirtbomb but the employee was annoyed told me they hadn’t had time to make them for several days

I’ll be back in town again next summer - I hope Deke’s is still open for me to return!

The bagels by themselves are good, but one you get it toasted it’s burnt. The service is shit. The coffee is absolutely putrid. My boyfriend had to go back in 3 times because they kept forgetting to put scallion cream cheese on the bagel?!?! The employees were dropping stuff, burning themselves, and all discombobulated. Save yourself the time and money it’s not worth it.

If you’re craving a bagel that’s all about flavor, freshness, and charm, Deke’s Bagels in Niantic, CT is a must‑visit. Nestled on Main Street, this cozy spot serves up hand‑rolled, kettle‑boiled, thick‑crusted bagels daily in a dazzling array of flavors—Everything, jalapeño cheddar, roasted garlic, egg, cheddar, and many more!

Each bagel boasts a crisp exterior and chewy interior—perfectly dense without being doughy. Flavorful and toothsome, they sing with that classic malt syrup bite thanks to Deke’s thoughtful recipe tweaks honed over time!

The flavored cream cheeses—think veggie, sun‑dried tomato, or berry—add extra personality. Their signature “The Niantic” sandwich layers hearty fillings on their robust bagel—perfect for breakfast or a light lunch.

The vibe is warm and welcoming. Breakfast here feels like a morning ritual among friends.

One tip: Bagel variety can be limited if you come late, so arrive early to snag your favorites!!! :)

Terrible staff in Guilford. Treated horribly over their mistake. Never will I recommend going there. Lost a good customer.
