Went around 3 on a Thursday, after hitting up the Farmers Market ( 100% recommend that) We both had the Fish& Chips, which comes with house cut ff & coleslaw. The fish was great, not beer battered, but still very good. I hate when the batter is crispy, but falls apart just looking at it, yknow? This was crispy n crunchy, but I could hold onto it with my fingers or fork and the piece stayed intact from the plate, to my tartar sauce to the my mouth, so that I definitely appreciated. The ff were good, but they got cold, well, were not hot when I got my wooden cutting board ( cute touch!) It wasn't busy so I could have asked them to reheat them, and Im sure it would have been done, I didn't want to mess around and have my fish get cold. The coleslaw was ok,if you like a creamier type, Im a fan of more vinegar-y coleslaw, and, now upon thinking of it, I wish it was colder, like, obviously, temp wise, it was not warm, but I love crisp, chilled coleslaw especially with this particular dish.
The atmosphere is exactly what I wanted, to be outside, enjoy this pre-fall day looking at the water, lots people milling about. Very Niantic, very New England 😉. Server was very pleasant and its nice and clean, so thats a plus. Overall, I can see their big draw being location and the very inviting bar. I'd probably not go back for the food, but for a fun time with friends, yeah, it'd be a cool spot

Everything has always been very good when ever we visit. And to that Phill Torres, who commented a couple post to go. You obviously have a personal problem with those people, It’s a personal attack. He’s right those aren’t his cutting boards and his tables are black So I don’t know what you’re showing in the picture but it’s not true. You should be ashamed of yourself. Nobody in their right mind is gonna have an experience as bad as what you described and not say anything to anybody . You’re full of it . Just trying to make those people look bad If I had to guess you know someone who used to work there And was let go. This post shows what type of a person you are

The clamp straps were some of the best I have ever had. The burger was to temp and very good quality beef. If I would if asked for well done fries it would of been perfection. The staff is very friendly and prices were fine. I will make a point to come when I am in town!

Stellar service, excellent food, VERY dog friendly, and a lovely atmosphere! You can’t beat the beautiful view of the bay! I’ve been here several times and have had a wonderful experience each time. Yummy fresh raw oysters, creamy blue crab dip, spicy summer margaritas and the smoky grilled calamari special were some of my favorites. Fires lit for ambiance after the sun goes down and acoustic music are a nice addition to the vibe. Love this place!

The atmosphere is beautiful. We got to watch the sunset. It’s beautiful sitting across from the ocean. Our wait staff was very attentive, our waitress was lovely. The food was exceptional! It was my girlfriend‘s birthday, the whole staff came out and sang to her. All in all, it was an incredible dining experience. We will definitely go back.👍👍👍👍👍

Absolutely fantastic! The minute we walked in with a warm welcome to our wonderful waitress Maddie and the delicious food. We could not have had a better experience! The new general manager was wonderful and very attentive to be sure That we were happy.

My rating for By the Bay was solidified after my recent Sunday brunch experience. The Benedict and French toast was exceptional. I’ve enjoyed various other lunch and dinner meals here as well. The pineapple coconut mojito is my favorite. I also love the selection of live music they offer. We are looking forward to their own beers returning (hopefully soon). I second all recent reviews regarding new management. Definitely a gem along a fabulous Niantic Main St!

Honestly speaking this wasn’t the WORST meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant and no I didn’t say anything while I was there which I wish I had. But let me just say the fried mozzarella was good but was drenched in grease like actually drenched. Needs to be set on some paper towels or something ahead of being served. Diet coke? Flat. Next was our entrees. I had the french dip sandwich with truffle fries. Flavor of the sandwich wasn’t bad but again dripping in grease. The aus ju was literally just jarred gravy. My mom had a burger bun was huge for a 6oz burger too much bread and was cooked well done despite her asking for medium. Anyways this meal was around $70 and was not worth it whatsoever. Atmosphere was great though. We enjoyed the view and the music. Our waitress, Nicole, was slow and the food came out slow as well.

Actually the worst food I think I’ve ever seen come out of a kitchen, even the fries were bad. We were genuinely so disappointed by this place! Live music was terrible, our server was the only saving grace, she was amazing.

The inside is gross. the service is horrible, the food takes around 40+ minutes to come out, and the food is bland and extremely overpriced. And you don’t even get a good portion of food

Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never given a poor review since I’ve owned a restaurant myself for the past 20 years but literally got ignored and totally neglected. The bartenders were both inattentive. A sweet and attentive waitress came by to ask if we were ok and my husband’s mussels were full of broken shell from one of the mussels that clearly shattered. Next bartender came and only the husband of the couple that we asked to join us got a drink. We were never offered one either. Notable mention, they’re the locals not us. And I’d like to add it was NOT busy, and this is coming from a person who has lived her whole life in the industry business prior to being an owner. After 45 minutes of only having the one water to drink offered when we originally sat down we left to go to Black Sheep. Go see Natalie. She’s a rock star !

My wife ordered a dinner that was supposed to come with shrimp and scallops but there were no scallops she told the waitress and she said the manager said that doesn’t come with that meal anymore then why is it still on the menu that it does that’s a pathetic response and they still charged the menu price no offer for refills on our soft drinks and bees landing on our food the whole time so thumbs down on this place don’t waste your time
