Way less crowded than the mystic location. There is a parking lot behind the front entrance so you need to circle the block. The food was amazing. The ham and cheese croissant and chocolate croissant was the best I’ve ever had. The staff was very helpful and patient. It’s pretty small inside but plenty of tables outside with a view of the water. The prices are also very reasonable.
Love Sift tasty treats. But please stop asking me to tip for putting a cookie in a bag. This is my only complaint.
We stopped by for a latte and breakfast during our very short trip to Niantic. The service was great- and the food was delicious. With a. Ice view of the water and the Acela.
The absolute best. We had been to the mystic location & were excited to see they also had one here. We love their pastries & they have a nice seating area outside. It’s our go to place when we have visitors and it has always been a favorite. Definitely recommend!
They do such an amazing job with their baked goods! Their croissants are some of the best in the state! And don’t sleep on their quiches either!
My husband and I like to get the chicken salad sandwich and take it to a nearby beach for a picnic. I also just tried the peanut butter cookie sandwich and love it

We each had a cup of delicious coffee, made just the way we like it. We shared a raspberry chocolate croissant, which was buttery! Did I say you could taste the butter? Delicious. We waited in line for about 20 minutes...worth the wait. We went to the shop in Niamtic, Ct.

I was rather disappointed with this bakery after hearing such good things about it. I’d say everything looked a lot better than it tasted. The pistachio macaron was pretty flavorless and the opera cake and lemon tart were mediocre. I love baked goods, but ended up not finishing anything I bought here. Coffee was just ok. Staff were friendly, but probably wouldn’t return for the pastries.

i absolutely loooove sift! it’s my favorite bakery to go to in ct. you can’t choose anything wrong there, everything is spectacular. some of my favorite items are their chocolate raspberry croissants, iced lattes, french macarons, and roast beef sandwiches.

We buy a loaf of sour dough every week from Mystic and it’s always excellent. The last three weeks we’ve been going to Niantic. The recipes are the same but Niantic overcooks the bread. The crust is much harder and the bread is dryer. Last week we tried the seeded sour dough and it was way over cooked, the crust was very hard and the bread very dry. Can’t eat it without adding something to moisten it. Which kind of defeats the purpose of good bread. Too bad the Niantic bakery can’t make the same as Mystic.

Read all the reviews and thought I would try it. The line was long but moved quickly. Presentation wise everything looked great. But over all there was not much flavor. Got An almond croissant with a cream filling. It really did not have much flavor to. And the croissant did not have a good taste. About half was through I was done and it left my mouth with a strange aftertaste. Over all I would say I think people go to just say they went. There was not really anything for little kids. We got him a chocolate chip cookie that tuned out to be very greasy. That even did not have a good over all taste. I feel like the place is just a trendy spot to go like Starbucks. Would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good bakery. It really had a small selection of items. All being premade. No place to sit to dine in and they have not napkin's or utensils. Packing was very big and very wasteful. A big box for a little item and a big bag.
Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly no kids menu or items

I got a pricey roast beef sandwich today and overall, it tasted like it was yesterdays. The bread was rubbery and the beef was also not fresh. Not impressed at all. The shop is small and the only parking is at the rear which is only accessible from another street.
