If I could give a 6th star I would!! What an unexpected pleasure to have a fantastic tasting and healthy brunch/lunch. I had a coffee, roasted vegetables with 2 eggs. My wife had the mushroom griddle rice plate and we shared a plate of fresh owner made pickled vegetables appetizer and a delicious bread pudding, still hot with berries and whipped cream for dessert. This place is a hidden treat for those who want a healthy meal with fabulous flavor. They also offer meat and seafood options as well. Very comfortable and convenient on Main St in North Canaan’s Rte 44 & 7 junction by the railroad tracks. We will be going back for sure and also the owner, Chef Matthew was a pleasure to talk with.
Vegetarian options: Such great options. Roasted veggies like Cauliflower, Root veggies and mushrooms, rice bowls, both Apps and entree’s plus yummy desserts.
Parking: Just look around. There’s usually always a spot within a 30s to 1min walk

I had both the cheeseburger and the Philly chicken sandwich. The burger I ordered I added bacon. The bacon was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The chicken sandwich was the best chicken sandwich I ever had. They don’t have fries but you can get a side of chips.

The food was soooooo good and the owner was very kind. Just stopping through town but would definitely be a fan favorite if I lived around here! Got the kimchi rice & mushroom sammie. Delicious!
Lovely warm atmosphere. Very pleasing. The food is absolutely outstanding! Not the typical Canaan offering. The menu choices are varied and will appeal to many tastes. Everything is fresh and made to order. No pre made warmed up fare here. Top notch cuisine. A real gem of an eatery tucked into the northwest corner of Connecticut in North Canaan. An absolute gem!
