After dinner, my friend and I decided to check out The Side Door Jazz Club—and we were absolutely blown away. The setting is intimate, warm, and inviting—perfect for truly appreciating live jazz. The acoustics were incredible; every note from the band was crystal clear and soulful, making the whole experience feel immersive and personal.
To top it off, the owner of the restaurant came over to greet us while we were enjoying the music—a lovely and genuine gesture that made the night feel even more special. You can tell this place is run with heart and passion for both great music and great hospitality.
Everything about the evening—from the ambiance to the music—was simply beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience top-tier live jazz in a cozy, elegant setting.

First time visiting and the venue didn’t disappoint. Went on a Saturday evening to see Dezron Douglas with his quartet. We came a bit late and were seated at the bar. The band was incredible with fantastic solos. Overall, the jazz lounge was intimate and lively with great acoustics. Would love to return to check out other performances.

Amazing venue. First time visitor. We saw Sean Nelson's New London Big Band. Loud, yes! Fantastic acoustics, no bad seats, very intimate jazz club. I imagine any group or artist would be great to see here. The food at the inn smelled great, the staff were very friendly and the entire place was very clean and well kept. I will definitely make a trip back to check that out.

I’ve seen several artists at the Side Door Jazz Lounge, and it is by far one of the best clubs that you could visit certainly in Connecticut and most definitely on the East Coast. The sound inside the club is incredible. It is a very intimate setting and an experience that you’ll never forget. It is incredibly well run and the service food and atmosphere are second to none. Highly recommend.
