Untill Down

My recent visit to Star of India ( boston post road ) was marred by consistently unpleasant behavior from a middle-aged male guy who takes order during day time. Unfortunately, it seemed that he was displeased to serve my girlfriend and me, treating us poorly compared to other American patrons. As Indian students, we felt unwelcome and discriminated against. I strongly discourage others from dining here, as no one should endure such unequal treatment based on their background if they keep repeating again.................................

I love this place. It is very small. But the atmosphere and the food. They should expand and be much bigger. If I live nearby I will go every other day.

My husband and I love Indian food, we stopped here on a recommendation, and I can not say enough about it. Everything was fabulous. We used to go to Kumar in Manchester, but nothing locally compared to the food. We have tried places in New Haven, Orange, Milford and even a few in Manhattan - this place out shines then all. It truly is the STAR of India. We will definitely return .

First time having dinner there and we couldn’t be happier. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The owner greeted us and automatically brought out the thin crackers with two sauces without us having to order it. I had the Malai Kofta with zero spice level, my husband had the chicken korma with medium spice level and garlic naan. We were very happy with everything, I even liked the chicken korma with the spice level, my husband will try a higher spice level next time. Not sure if we went at a slow time 8:30 or if people just don’t know about this place but it’s really good. The chef came out to check that everything was to our liking. Talked with the owner and turns out that he and the chef are partners. So that tells me that there is a high expectation in the kitchen to keep people coming back. Will be back there soon! ???

Having dined at Star of India on many occasions, I can tell you that the food is phenomenal and the service is fantastic. The quality of their cuisine for the money is also more than fair. My coworkers also continue to eat there and had done so on my recommendation.

I usually go to their weekend buffet which is totally worth it. I love their goat curry which other buffets don't have and that is why I don't go to the other buffet. I enjoy their soup. They do a good job with vegetables in the buffet. Their food is fresh and delicious. That is why I drive 30 minutes to eat here.
