Overall good and we will be back, probably not on Sat. or at least at a different time. Place was mobbed and without OpenTable would not have had a chance. Got last table for two, unfortunately where the doorway made it cool. And really noisy. Took 45 minutes for entrees. But all that said, both our meals were tops and I can see why it gets high ratings and is an Oxford favorite. First timers but not the last.

The food is always good here but the service is never great. The waitresses never seem to understand a table with little kids isn't here for a 2 hour meal. When we asked for the check it was brought but then we had to ask twice our waitress to come get it to actually pay. It's too bad I would come more often if the service was better.

We both enjoyed our dinners. The clam chowder was as good or better than what we've enjoyed at Cape Cod. The salad with raisins and apples was generous in size and very fresh. We both had spare ribs. One was sauced with teriyaki, the other with BBQ. Both were extremely tender. No knife was needed at all. Our only disappointment was the ambience - there was none at all. It was dreary, noisy and generally blah looking. With that said, we'll probably go back because the food is excellent and the service was fine.

Two of us sat at a table set for four and enjoyed a wonderful meal for our 38th wedding anniversary. It was the menu that drew us there (filled with our favorite comfort foods -as a tavern should) because our town only has pizza restaurants. Good drinks, great ambience and even though the main dining room was filled, we could sit across from each other and hear each other. Lovely meal. Adding it to our list of favorites.

I absolutely love Oxford House Tavern. The service and food is always exceptional. Love the Surf and Turf for an appetizer. The Mac and cheese is a must try. One of the best Mac and cheeses I ever had. The Filet Minon is delicious as well as their mashed potatoes. Before you leave make sure you have the Almond cake you will not be disappointed.

The food was very good and it didn't take long to come out of the kitchen. The price was within range of what we expected. Once we got the servers attention the service was good. We should note that she had another room to take care of as well as us.

We had onion soup, ricotta toast, spinach artichoke flatbread, & penne vodka. Hubby said the penne was the best version he'd ever had, the flatbread was delish, but the ricotta toast was next level! Can't wait to return!

I had one of the paste dishes, spicy kind. My wife the steak. Steak temperature was perfect medium and the pasta very flavorful and just the right amount of heat. Service was great and the place was packed! If any the only fail we experienced we the request to sub the mashed for fries.

We have been dining here for years. Special occasions of just a night out, they never fail to deliver a quality experience. The menu is great and the cookstaff exceptional! Waitstaff is friendly and attentive, comfortable seating and excellent cocktails make this restaurant one of our favorite go-to establishments. The building has a storied past and historical significance too.
The New Year's Eve menu was varied. The lobster ravioli was delicious as was the toll house cookie dessert.

Great food! The Chicken Francaise is out of this world!! We had a party with 30 people and they're room was the perfect size and handicap accessible for my Uncle. The server Kelly was super sweet and made it a good time for all.

I had my son’s baptism reception here and the owner was very nice and quick to respond to any questions. The food was amazing and was out and ready to go when we arrived. The staff who took care of us during the party were so friendly. It was the perfect atmosphere and I’m happy we chose this restaurant to host such a special occasion. Highly recommend!
