I was an employee at Valley Nutrition for about 3 weeks. I really enjoyed the job and forming relationships with the customers. However, they totally lost my respect as well as my employment. Prior to getting hired, I had a phone interview with Brianna. We talked about many things, but the biggest thing for me was the pay. She had explained to me I would be getting paid $11 an hour plus 30% of my sales. She also had stated it would be changing to $12 an hour. I had confirmed with her many times because I wanted to be sure I was not accepting a commission based job. She had made it very clear to me that I would be getting AT LEAST my hourly, even if 0 customers came in during my shift. She had also told me I would be getting $75 for training. Fast forward to my first paycheck, I only received $60 for training. I let it slide and didn't say anything because I did not want to be "that annoying new girl." Fast forward to my second paycheck, I only got paid $150 for 24 hours. I sent a text to Jess (one of the owners) and she bluntly ignored me. I texted Brianna (the co owner) and she told me I only get commission, not hourly - something that went against the contract I signed. At this logic, that meant I only took home $6.25 an hour, which is significantly under Connecticut's minimum wage and is illegal. Pretty much I was lied to. Stay away! :)

I will never be a customer here. Owners are liars and pay employees significantly less than minimum wage and under the table - these actions will get them in trouble. I hope they change their way of business.

I walked into this establishment and was blown away by the wide variety of shakes and teas to choose from. The staff was very friendly, and actually helped me to finally make a decision on what shake and tea to choose. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to get some protein shakes and teas to help keep your body and mind in shape.

The new owners are super friendly and helpful in picking out the perfect shake/tea for each individual person. Cute spot to hangout and even dog-friendly!

Great price, friendly staff, delicious meal

Incredible hidden gem! I was so skeptic but these shakes are nothing but protein powder and ice! No milk/yogurt/ ice cream/dairy, low sugar and gluten free. So thick, creamy and delicious, and super filling! Wasn’t hungry for 5+ hours! Comes w complimentary iced tea and is so worth the price. Plus, on my second trip I brought my own reusable tumbler to avoid the single use plastic and they were happy to accommodate! Amazing product and equally wonderful staff. 10 starts ⭐️???
