The food was fantastic. I had the Chicken Marsala and my mom had the Shrimp Scampi. Highly recommend!

Hoof’s is consistently great, easily the best Italian restaurant in the area. Food is excellent, particularly the rigatoni vodka. Everything is always rich and full of flavor. The service is attentive and the atmosphere feels comfortable for any occasion. It’s the kind of place you can count on for a great meal every time.

We have always been fond of this restaurant, but our recent Sunday visit was somewhat disappointing. Despite securing a last-minute reservation, which was unexpected, the establishment was surprisingly empty at 6:30 pm. Our initial orders of drinks were met with unavailability, including my husband's non-alcoholic choice and my beer selection. When ordering our meals, we encountered further issues as every dish the five of us chose was unavailable. Both my order of pork chops, which is a menu item, and another guest's had to be altered. My husband's special order was also unavailable, and another guest received the wrong appetizer. I attempted to order an alternative beer, only to be informed that it was also out of stock. While our waitress offered apologies, her tone seemed insincere, and the excuses provided were unconvincing. Notably, the owner failed to address our concerns personally. Upon receiving the bill, we discovered overcharging. The meal was not inexpensive either. I experienced adverse health effects after consuming the meal. I sincerely hope the establishment resolves these issues, as it has been a great spot to visit in the past.

Out of so many items. Many Food choices were unavailable, alcohol, to go bags. One person in party didn’t feel well the entire night after eating. Wrong order came out. Bill was incorrect. The restaurant was half empty. Probably forgetting some things. It was a bad night start to finish for such a high bill. A restaurant we have eaten at many many times over the years. Might be the last.

Everything I tried ordering, they were out of. The Caesar salad they served had hair in it. It was very noisy which was not very pleasant, and the hostess gave me an attitude for asking how long it would be. Although it was busy, I waited around 45 minutes just to get a drink. Overall the food was not the best, nor was the service. Definitely would not dine here again, they also discriminate against their female staff here.

August 3 dinner at 6:00. Since everything we wanted on the menu was unavailable. Cesar salad and anything with clams. Our dinner arrived before our appetizers, which our waitress didn’t bother to put in. Needless to say, we won’t be back anytime soon. .

I used to love this place. Was there last year and it was just barely ok. Tonight we decided to go back. Waited 1.5 hours to only be told. Sorry we are out if what you ordered. No apology. Just attitude. Will never go there again. They have gone down hill dramatically. I ended up at 99 restaurant at 9:50 pm and had wonderful service and food in 5 minutes. Hoofs is a joke. I would not recommend. Never again.

We went on Saturday night for dinner. The food was good but our Waiter was awful. Never check on us through out our meal. Then when he did we were finished with the meal and he thought we never go our food. No impressed with Waiter at all.

I normally don’t leave reviews, especially for places I genuinely enjoy, but I feel the need to share my experience from tonight. We had an 8:00 pm reservation at Hoofs. When we arrived, the host seemed overwhelmed and frazzled. I let her know we had a reservation, but she didn’t check our name or confirm anything — she just said it would be a 15-minute wait because the kitchen was behind due to a new system.
We were okay with waiting, but things felt disorganized. After 15 minutes, we asked if we were on the list since she never actually took our name. At that point, we noticed they were still accepting walk-ins even though they clearly couldn’t keep up. A fellow diner told us they had a 7:30 pm reservation and still hadn’t ordered food by 8:15 — they had only just received drinks.
I understand that restaurants have off nights, but there are a few things that were really frustrating:
1. If you’re unable to keep up, online reservations should be paused.
2. Guests should be told honestly how long the delay might be — especially those with reservations.
3. Walk-ins should not be accepted when there’s already a significant backup.
As someone who is pregnant, I make reservations in advance to avoid exactly this kind of situation. Sadly, this visit left me disappointed in a place I used to look forward to. I hope this was just a rare off night — but communication and organization really need improvement.
The food, pace of service, and atmosphere at Hoof’s is absolutely incredible! Herman was an amazing server and tailored our dining experience to our needs. 10/10 recommend!
