Take out was disgusting... the hotdogs and clamcakes were squished and everything was burnt and the girls working up front were nice and friendly but food was terrible... food quality and care has definitely gone so far down... extremely disappointed in the food

Great shakes, hot dogs, onion rings and sweet potato fries!
I live in New London, never thought I would come to Plainfield to get top of the line food ,wholebelly claims were perfect and large portion, clam fritters were also good.Fred shanty needs to get some advise from you. Cheese burger good as well ,and nice "bring you back in time atmosphere". Would recomend highly , ice cream if you have room ?

Clams Cakes are fried dough with 1 or 2 clams bits in each and not much clam flavor. They forgot the onions we asked for on the burger. Taco salad was ok. We decided to skip trying the ice cream after dinner.

To be fair my review is solely based on my sundae. I was overly disappointed with my sundae and I just thought I’d share with other potential customers. When you order a sundae, you expect that it will be a large size with yummy ingredients, it didn’t have either. I paid like $7 for a small ice cream basically, not a true sundae. The atmosphere was cool though, I’ll try the food next time.
