Awesome was here for a great comedy show. Drinks were great and good sized. Didn't try the food but hope to get back to try the cowboy pizza. Sad I understand they're closing soon because their rents gone skyhigh.
Please be careful eating here! My husband and I ordered wings and they were rancid. I called and spoke with Alex. He did not apologize or sound surprised. We had to return the spoiled food to get a refund.
Met the owner great guy!!! Really cares about his customers, I believe it will continue to get better as time moves on. Our meals were very good, chicken Parm was excellent!!
Amazing food. Perfect drinks. During our visit the owner came over and introduced himself. That is the kind of thing that all places should do. Will go back soon!
We have ordered their fried calamari multiple times. It is THE BEST you'll find in this area!!!
Went out for a date night with the hubby. We had the garlic knots as an appetizer, I had the gnocchi (a special), and hubs had the pizza. Everything was delicious & my husband, a native New Yorker, said the pizza was the closest to NYC he's had here in CT. The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was very nice & laid back. We had a great experience and will definitely come back often!
Fireside on Main hosted my wedding in April. Loved it! Everything was perfect. Food and service was on point. Thank you Mike
So Me and my wife went fireside on main in Plantsville.. I called to see what time they closed they said ten ,so I said ok I’ll come for nine, was a long work day for me. So I get there really late I think it was about 9:30 and they were already cleaning everything so I insisted I come back the next day because I didn’t want them to have to turn the ovens back on. Well nope they wouldn’t let me said no no no your here and we are gonna turn them back on. I felt really bad, but let me tell you their customer service was amazing!!! Their food was really good! I will definitely be going back and very soon. Thanks Fireside on main for such a awesome experience. Let me not forget they had games on the top of the booth so you could play while you wait Just genius I tell you!!!!

5/25/22 Fireside On Main is another great pub option in a growing number of dining choices in Plantsville/Southington.I had late lunch here with a former coworker today. It hasn't been open very long after the pandemic debacle, and change of names and ownerships over the past few years.Since it was a "new" place, we decided to give it a whirl. Certainly glad we did!We started with a split order of Buffalo Wings and Nashville Heat. Both were meaty and had just the right amount of heat to make them interesting, but not overwhelmingly hot.I decided on a battered fish sandwich that I asked our cheerful server if it could come in a wrap. She apologetically said no, they don't have wraps. Not a deal breaker, so I just had it on a brioche roll, with a side of excellent onion rings substituting French fries, for a small upcharge. They make their own tartar sauce that was made the sandwich all the better. My buddy had a Fireside Burger with fresh cut fries that I taste tested and were fantastic. The owner came out to greet and engage us in conversation where we were seated in very comfy seats on the front patio area (they also had a larger patio behind the pub.He told us about his custom made pizza oven and asked if we'd like to try a slice, since he was making one for himself & the help anyway.Just a very few minutes later he came back out with a fresh from the pizza oven with a cheese pizza and plates. As full as we were from our lunch we managed to eat the slices. It was nicely charred at the edges and thin as you'd expect from a New Haven style pizza. It really was a great pie.I knock one star off for the lack of a wrap for my sandwich, otherwise this was five stars.
Simple American food. Busy place, nice building, great area. Wasn't incredible but was good. I would return for the atmosphere alone.Busy but the staff handled it well. Pretty simple choice if you are looking. Drafts are expensive so I wouldn't go back for a beer. A small pour of blue moon was $6.50.Burger was fine, just a burger. Fries were good too. Overall, not bad but nothing to write home about.
We had the best time ever!! Food was amazing, everything cooked perfectly! The drinks are absolutely delicious, I loved the blackberry margarita!!! The atmosphere was the best part…at no point did we ever feel rushed and had no clue they closed at 9…there were 7 of us and we only realized they closed when we left around 10:30. Not many restaurants nowadays where you can sit down, eat, drink and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. Can’t wait to go back! Mike and Lisa Thank You so so much for the awesome experience!
Great live music, vibe, atmosphere, customer service was polite but a "bit" slow. From first drink & appetizer order to signing the check receipt was 2.5 hours. Food arrived warm at best, frys were cold, burger was a hockey puck. 14$ cheese burger, 6$ beerHas potential but obviously a new place still finding their footing.
My head says 2 stars but my heart says 3. I had high hopes for the food with awesome descriptions on the menu but what we got was lacking those flavors, leaving much to be desired. The staff and owner are all great and kind so this is a great place to come for some drinks. I want to go support them more but unfortunately with the high food prices it's just not worth it for my family.
