This place has a huge menu, good portions and delicious meals. Had no room for desert. Will definitely be going back. Recommended if your in that neck of the woods.

Absolute perfection. Had our wedding reception here and everything was just wonderful. From the food, to the super nice staff, and the wonderful guidance from the banquet manager and all the little details! I would highly recommend having an event here or just going for dinner! Great atmosphere- great place!

Stopped here on a whim returning back to Central MA after spending must of a Sunday at Gillette Castle in East Haddam. We were greeted and seated immediately (a Sunday late afternoon). All the staff we encountered were friendly and pleasant and our waitress delivered great service. We got the fried calimari as an app. Both the calimari and peppers were fried in a light, tasty batter that was not at all greasy or oily. We both got surf and turf. Our steaks were cook to proper temp (we both ordered medium rare) and tasty. The garlic mashed potatoes and green beans were delicious and the shrimp with crabmeat stuffing was amazing. We both finished our meals and felt full but not bloated, a mark of fresh, quality ingredients. We will certainly be back!

Grill 37 is located at the site of a past, renowned restaurant that had an outstanding reputation, and it seems they assumed the reputation came with the location. It is beautifully situated with lovely dining rooms and outdoor seating, but that is where the comparison ends. One of my dinner companions ordered a espresso martini, I ordered a classic martini which disappointingly tasted slightly of espresso, letting me know the bartender didn’t take the time to rinse out the shaker before preparing my drink. A real disappointment, but since our waitress would disappear for long periods of time, there was no point in trying to return it. My husband ordered a second cocktail of his favorite brand and was given a different brand, although all naming of brands was upcharged. Service was slow, food was fair. Everything on the menu was a la carte, (even the bread). Never again.

Ian and his crew knock it out of the park. The food is always fresh and delicious. Service is spot on and the atmosphere feels very cozy and like you're at a friend's house! Definitely worth eating here again and again.

I Just wanted to say for a very expensive sirloin tip dinner it came in a small bowl with the tips squished in with the mashed potatoes and vegetable. There was no complementary bread and no salad included. It tasted okay but, it just wasn't worth that kind of money.

Great food and atmosphere. The Swedish meatballs was fantastic as was the surf and turf. Dessert was great. Highly recommend the peach cobbler or the chocolate tort. Highly recommend this place.

Grill 37 is a local favorite.
The menu changes with the seasons and they always have a number of weekly specials and prime rib on Fridays.
Collectively we ordered the Prime Rib ( a generous and juicy serving; the coconut fish and chips (unconverted and flavorful the fish batter incorporated shedded coconut - in a word yummy!: the beat salad with Cajun spiced chicken; and one of their weekly specials - the coconut mussels - mussels served with a Thai coconut sauce, noodles, and Thai basil - delicious.
The indoor dining is divid d into rooms, so you often feel like you are having friends for dinner at home. Weather permitting there is a delightful outdoor seating area.
