Visited today w/ my husband and had two breakfast plates - 2 eggs, 2 strips bacon, toast and homefries and a western omlette w/ two coffees and a V8/Tomato juice and the bill was $42.00. It was so expensive for such a basic breakfast. Sadly, too expensive for us to return.

The good: The food was great and the portions were generous. The restaurant is clean and charming. The bad: The prices are semi-outrageous. Two omelets and two orange juices cost $43.00, $50 (!) for breakfast after tip. A side of corned beef hash is over $8, and it did not appear to be homemade. Only two waitresses served the entire restaurant; despite the food coming out almost immediately we were still there for nearly an hour as we waited long stretches for attention from our waitress. Overall good but there are more economical and equally as good breakfast spots around Putnam.

Great place for breakfast. Wonderful, genuinely friendly staff and a welcoming, comfy atmosphere. The plaques about coffee that they have on the walls are a cool bonus. Try the French toast with strawberries.

Nice spot to enjoy a meal. Food was good and fast. Service was friendly. We all had a variety of items. Only bad side was cash only day of our visit from internet issues so we had to limit our order to accommodate.
We sat in the sunroom and this place was cozy and the food was amazing

I've been eating at Marika's Place for the last six years with my family. It's my favorite restaurant in Putnam, CT. Never have we been disappointed. The cooks will cook your food just the way you ask them to. Great value, great food, and a pleasant environment. We love this place.
