As always. Black Dog delivers excellent food and service. Our waitress Kaitlyn B was outstanding. She had four or five large parties ( including ours), and she never missed a beat.

Our reservation was for a very busy night, especially so because a popular local band was playing. The band is why we were going, as most of us feel Black Dog, while the food is good, is overpriced. Our table was as far from where the band as you could possibly be. We couldn't even hear them! Service was ok. We understand it was crazy busy but when appetizers arrived, we didn't have enough side plates, silverware or napkins. Drinks took awhile which again is understandable, but even our water glasses remained empty for extended periods of time. Given how busy and overcrowded it gets when there is live music, it would be awesome is they could have their speaker system play the band live as well as show on their TV's. Given all the expansion Black Dog has done to their entrance and other space, this should be an easy improvement.

Had the burnt ends- excellent. Others in our party had the smokehouse Mac ‘n cheese and onion soup- rave reviews all around. Cornbread was good would've enjoyed it more if served warm and with softened butter. Baked beans were a great side.

We had a great time at Black Dog, the food and service were wonderful! We had 6 of us for dinner and all enjoyed it and can't wait to go back again. Next time, however, we will ask for seating in a dining room and not at a pub table in the bar area, it was a bit noisy on a Saturday night for conversation. Will definitely be going back for more, love this place!

We went for a girls birthday lunch and the food was great although we asked the staff to sing happy birthday to one of the people in my party and they did and awesome job they even brought out a brownie Sunday very yummy and it showed up on our bill for $8.00 was kind of surprised since our bill was $200 that was my only complaint.

Our experience was a very good one, at Black Dogs...The only negative was that we couldn't see the entertainment from our table. Service was excellent, and we felt that it was a very well run establishment! Waitress' manager, bartenders were all very efficient and friendly. Food came out pretty quickly, and we definitely enjoyed our evening there. We will definitely be back! :)

Service starts as soon as you walk through the door and it was poor. I made a reservation for 3 adults one week prior. The hostess tried seating us at a table for 2 with an additional chair. I told her there was no way 3 adults with food and drink was going to fit. There were empty tables for 4, when I said I wanted one of those she stated they were reserved, I said I made our reservation a week ago. She said if we didn't take that table we'd have to wait for a table to open up. Again I said there are empty tables and we have a reservation. After a 5 minute wait we were reseated, she grabbed the menus, dropped them on our table and huffed off. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was good. We've been to Black Dog dozens of times and this was a first. I think the hostess staff needs some organizational training.

We really enjoyed our meal at the black dog. I had the haddock lobster Newburgh, and it was delicious! I usually get barbecue or some other meat, but I wanted to try something different, and I was not disappointed. Our server Nate was very attentive and personable, and we enjoyed his service. Will definitely return.
I always enjoy going to this restaurant. Don't ever have any issues with staff the food or anything else. They've always been accommodating when I've made reservations I have always gotten in on time. I love this restaurant.
I've been to the black dog several times and I've always found it to be hit or miss. Some days it's great, other days not very good. My most recent visit was not very good. I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad, which was good. But I also had brisket on the side and it was tough as a shoe. My wife had a steak that was supposed to be medium, but it came out medium rare and she's not want to send things back. And it was completely unseasoned. All in all, bland and disappointing. The atmosphere was nice though and our server was terrific.

The waitress we had made us wait a really long time for our drinks . No waters givin but she's pouring pitchers for others at tables . We got our food before our drinks , it was busy but she waited till she had everyone's drinks before we could get ours . Normally wait staff in the ball this time not so much .
Our second visit. Our first was better. It was very busy. Our service was good and our wait staff was working very hard. Thankfully! My brisket was cold as was my friend's. Maybe a bit under staffed or help still in training? Cocktails and dessert were just fine.

Great food & service. A bit loud but it is big and to be expected. The food is always spot on. A new favorite for sure. The dill pickle pizza was great! 1st time trying it and it didn't disappoint. Ribs and brisket burnt ends were outstanding and the beer was ice cold. Can't ask for more.

The food was excellent and service was great. The meals came very quickly and we were in and out in 1 and 1/2 hours - this included the time for an appetizer too. The noise level was high but the place was full so it is to be expected.
