From the moment I walked in, I loved the atmosphere! I sat down at the bar and Stacey was warm and friendly while I looked at the menu. I got the gold coins, Irish pizza and potato leek soup. Had Guinness brownie for dessert. I can't wait to go back again to try more menu items! Best pub ever in the Quiet Corner!

The Hare & The Hound: A Must-Visit Spot for Elevated Pub Fare

Stopped by The Hare & The Hound and, let me tell you, if you’re on the hunt for some top-tier pub grub, this place is worth the visit. Their Buffalo Clucking Chicken Sandwich hit all the right notes — crispy, juicy chicken drenched in a perfectly balanced buffalo sauce with just the right amount of heat. Every bite was a satisfying mix of tang, crunch, and tenderness. Truly a cluckin' masterpiece!

But the real surprise was their Fried Pickles Burger. This isn’t just your average burger — the beef was flavorful and cooked to perfection, but the kicker was those fried pickles. Golden, crunchy, and slightly tangy, they took the whole burger up a notch. Whoever thought of putting fried pickles on a burger deserves a medal.

The atmosphere was laid-back, the service was friendly, and the food? Well, let’s just say this hare has a hopping good menu. I'm definitely putting this on my list for a return visit!

If I could give 10 stars, I would.. Food was incredible. Staff was amazing…. Met the Owner last night and he was huge on constructive criticism, But we had none…. That says everything…. 👍

Made some bacon this morning for the leftover deviled scotched eggs. 😃

It's a good, solid restaurant- the servers are great, the music is fun. The menu is ok- the boiled dinner has been very hit or miss over the years. Today I got The Melt, which is apple, cheddar, goat cheese, greens and fig jam on toasted sourdough- (added bacon) something told me I had tried it years ago and didn't like it, but it sounds so good, I thought I'd try it (again?) And I was so disappointed. I feel like no one has ever taste tested this sandwich in the kitchen, because it's terrible. It is so slathered in the fig sauce you literally cannot taste a single other ingredient. After choking on the cloying sugary overload of the first half, I took apart the 2nd half and scraped the drenched apples and as much of the fig as possible- it left a coating of about 1/4 the amount of fig--- and it was delicious. I could suddenly taste the goat cheese, the cheddar, and the bacon. It was delicious. I hesitate to try anything new on the menu because I don't understand how no one has noticed in all these years that some of their recipes need improvements

We have been to the Hare and the Hound many times and I could never say I was dissatisfied. The food has always been high quality, good quantity and yummy. I would recommend it. However, tonight was not quite the same. They were very busy but we got right in and our server, Maddie, was delightful. It was the dish I chose that was not up to par. Butternut squash ravioli, which I love, in a brown butter sage sauce. Sounds great, but for $24 I expected a filling meal. There was no accompanying bread or anything and there were 8 average sized ravioli. The browned butter was so sweetened that that's all I could taste, so I wad not a fan. Did you do the math? 8 ravioli for $24. That's $3 each. Good thing I wasn't very hungry! I definitely won't get that again, but I will go back and thoroughly enjoy some old fav next time. Also my pomegranate margerita was delicious!
