Food is really good and the customer service was amazing. Only thing I would add is I wish they had music playing while eating but that’s just a personal preference.

I don't even want to tell everyone how amazing it is here because then I won't have anything to eat. This place is beyond fantastic. The food is fresh and delicious, beyond what you could imagine. The theme is wonderful- very cohesive and transports you.The service is quick and efficient. The longest I've every waited for my food is maybe 15 minutes. If you want bad food don't come here. If you want fantastic, creative, innovative while also nostalgic, don't come here because I want to eat it all.20/10, would recommend higher if I could.Kid-friendliness: Lots of colors!

Putnam, the town with the strangest named places but phenomenal food, service and atmosphere. Don’t let the matching of the name ‘The Painted Baker’ and Jetson’s theme fool you into thinking that this place should be passed up. The ‘Radioactive’ sandwich, a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a handmade in house glazed donut was exactly what I didn’t need, needed and made my day all at once. We came in right before closing, the wait staff insisted that we sit down after we said we could eat out if they wanted, they offered their very own bacon sauce which I’ve never seen anything like but it’s awesome and made conversation with us which made us feel right at home. This is a family owned establishment that decided to make the investment back into Putnam which sorely needed it. Now the Painted Baker is a vibrant part of a young up and coming scene in a place no one outside the area would expect. Keep a good thing going and support this place.I almost forgot to say I can’t wait to go back.

Had to re-post this since google maps got the location wrong!Went here for the first time today(25 Feb 24) and it was great!Except for the kitchen’s inability to read the ticket!Asked for toast with butter on the side and got four slices of toast dripping in butter! But the waitress corrected the issue.Definitely going back.

A very delightful and whimsical diner! It was busy, but the service was outstanding and attentive. The dishes have fun names and I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. There are so many great dishes, I'll have to go back to try others!

Excellent breakfast spot with cool retro decor. Great menu choices. Real corn beef hash, not the nasty canned stuff. Home fries were really good. Pancakes were also delicious! We will go back.

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. The service, food, and atmosphere are top notch! I was helped by Lenny, who's a really great person. He's kind, polite, and really cares about the customer. I highly recommend the Painted Baker Cafe to anyone looking for a breakfast, brunch, or coffee spot in Putnam. You will not be disappointed.

We were in town for a wedding and stopped in on Saturday Nov 18 with my wife, dad & cousin for breakfast. The colorful decor just makes you happy. Aside from the breakfast coming out quickly and being very good, I need to make mention about our waitress Jaime. Making fast friends she took the time to help my dad (89) choose his breakfast. It was very refreshing to watch someone take the time to be genuine in her care for us especially my dad. We had such a good time and meal that we decided to go back on Sunday. Needless to say Jaime was great the food was good & even met the owner Monique. If you are in the area stop in, you will not be disappointed!

Ate there for the first time on the recommendation from my sister. This cafe is retro-sci-fi themed, complete with robot in the front window. Decor aside, the food was plentiful and tasty. And the service was top notch. So glad we gave this place a try. We will be back.
