Hey everyone. I wish I could provide 5 stars. My fiance and I went out to dinner down the st and figured we'd pop in after for some late night tunes and a drink or two. The vibe was actually 5 stars and the place seemed cool. However I can't give 5 stars due to the homeless man who was sitting next to me. This man would not stop talking to me and therefore I couldn't enjoy the band or atmosphere. I could barely even talk to my fiance. Additionally this homeless man repeatedly spit in my face. Hopefully I don't have aids or hepatitis. Lastly this man attempted to capture us, low key. The bartender did say to let him know if we needed assistance. However he should have just done this. This guy was a disturbance and ruined our night. Do better and not allow this man in. I will attempt to give you another shot because the place seemed cool. It was my kinda spot. The music and scene was what I was desperately needing and looking for. Unfortunately I couldn't really enjoy it due to the clientele. Excuse me while I shower the hepatitis off of me.

Super fun, casual place. Excellent craft cocktails and they always have excellent craft beers on tap. They have THE BEST Jalapeño Poppers around—not the frozen breaded kind. The bartenders and servers are very attentive and pleasant. My other faves are their wings and their veggie quesadilla. Hubby loves the awesome grilled cheese selection. Can’t forget to mention the bands and music! One of our favorite spots in Northeastern CT. You have to go!

Okay, so, I kinda feel like I've been living under a rock, because I have been wanting to come here for a long time, and today was finally my first time coming here for lunch. The only challenge was taking my eyes off the art long enough to look at the menu so I could decide what to get for lunch. For appetizers, we got this dip platter with the tortilla chips and pita bread, and the spinach artichoke dip had this garlic thing going on that was surprisingly good. For lunch, I had the William Shatner grilled cheese (second generation Star Trek fan, I take after my mom), and I got it with bacon, and ohhhh man, was it good!! I made the right choice. We even got to enjoy some live music while we were there, which made my first trip to The Stomping Ground extra special. And there's even this cool puppet dude called Prince Ozzy sitting on a swing over the bar, and I'm guessing he was enjoying himself too. He never suggested otherwise.I would say the vibe of this place is one of a kind. I mean, where else are you gonna find a restaurant with octopus tentacles in a frame on the wall next to your table? Seriously, this place has to be experienced in person to get what I'm talking about. Curious to know more? Why don't you "stomp" on over and see for yourself?

The only bar in Putnam open past 1030pm, and a perfectly suitable option. They recently revamped the menu and I have yet to have a bad meal. The Sinatra grilled cheese with chicken is excellent.Good food, good beer, good bartenders, good atmosphere. Way too loud when there's live music, but that's just not my personal cup of tea.

I kinda feel like I've been living under a rock, because I have been wanting to come here for a long time. Anyway, on January 28th, 2024, I finally got the chance. The real challenge is taking my eyes off the artwork on the walls and the ceiling long enough to focus on what I had for lunch while my sister ordered the appetizers, which were nothing short of delicious. The spinach artichoke dip had this garlic thing going on, which was surprisingly good. i even tried a corn dip with queso fresco, and, given I used to be a majorly picky eater for a good part of my life, well...Let's just say I told Miss Picky Eater to take a hike. Anyway, I settled on the William Shatner grilled cheese (second generation Star Trek fan, I get that from my mom), which has - get this - four different cheeses. Get it with bacon, trust me on this, it is nothing short of delicious. We even got to enjoy some really good live music while we were there, which was a real treat. Even Prince Ozzy, this puppet dude sitting on a swing hanging from the ceiling over the bar, looked like he was enjoying himself. He never suggested otherwise. I am not quite sure how to describe the decor of this place, so my best advice is to experience this place in person. Curious to know more? Why don't you "stomp" on over and check it out for yourself?

Grabbed lunch here in downtown Putnam. Salads and service were great! Very nice lunch portion sizes. The delicious cup of chili was very meaty with all of my fave toppings. I'll probably get the bowl next time.
