We ordered two pies one white chicken and broccoli and one red sauce with meatball and mushroom. They were both delicious and we noticed that both pies had a gorgonzola flavor which we liked but wondered if that was their secret ingredient? It was mild and buttery and I never thought it could be a thing until we had this.
Somehow managed to get this far in life without trying (to my recollection) a real New Haven slice. Well today was the day, as I ended up in CT for work and was looking for a quick bite.
The pizza was pretty darn good. Solid undercarriage, excellent crisp, and the overall taste was very good. The price (for 2 slices and a drink) was also extremely reasonable. Plus, the guy behind the counter was super friendly. I will definitely be returning if I end up in this...

BETTER THAN MODERN!!! Grew up in CT and always loved any pizza I could get, but the only place I crave when I’m home in Ohio is First Street! Everytime I come back to Connecticut I make sure to eat as much as I can! DO NOT SLEEP ON FIRST STREET!!!!!
