I tried to make a reservation by emailing these people my phone number and what I was looking for and for how many and they kept insinuating through email that I was attempting to make a reservation online, even though my email clearly stated otherwise. They kept saying they will not call me , I must call them. Guess a phone only goes one way for them. What an unprofessional and rude way to treat someone trying to give you a good sized group for business! They aint some VIP speakeasy. I don't do business with people who email from I-phones who demand I do all the work to do business.
the ambiance, the concept, the fact that they offer high tea are all 5 stars. I would definitely go back and intend to. The servers are sweet and its a beautiful spot and I hope they never close. I enjoyed my experience of the shop and I love teashops like this one. I probably will avoid the baked goods given my experiences, but I'll certainly still enjoy the tea. I'll update as I try more - but two objectively "bad" baked goods on two seperate days is a lot of bad pastry. I had the scone and the lamington. Unrecognizable as the pastries they're supposed to be.
Looking forward to the rest of the food though. Maybe pastry is not the strong suit here. Maybe grilled cheeses? Hope so!
Cute little place to have tea in an old timey special venue

The Seymour restaurant is very cute and aesthetic. This was a wonderful venue to drink tea and eat food in, unfortunately of all the items we tried, only the swedish brownie and grilled cheese were tasty and edible. the person who took our order was pleasant but I wondered if that person was perhaps stuck covering for a missing server and it probably was not part of their actual job responsibilities. I really wanted the food and the tea to be good, but it really was difficult to consume, from flavor to texture, particularly the scones and banana bread. I will have to try the Oxford location.

I kind of regret not doing the tea service, bit the bacon grilled cheese was good, but I would have loked more options.

I have tea at Tea with Tracy many times through the years. NEVER a disappointment. Recently took an out of town guest there. She was absolutely enthralled.

If you're planning on going here with children, don't waste your time or money. For context, my sister, who is a hospitality consultant and is constantly traveling, came home for a short time to visit. My daughters are 2 & 6 both of them were well behaved, no crying, running around, just a girls day out and we wanted to treat them to a "tea party"
We have never felt unwelcome in an establishment the way we did here. For starters, the hostess sat us directly in front of the counter, which was intended to make us unseen to the other patrons in the adjacent room. However, that backfired because we were seated directly in the way of the wait staff. the entire room we were sitting in was empty by the way. Also, we ordered a sandwich for one of the girls and had to remind them of that. Our entire presence was made known to be a complete inconvenience to the 3 women working yesterday morning. So long story short, if you have children, or if you expect good service, take your money elsewhere.

Difficult to just order what you want. In order to get a sandwich you had to order an $18 option that included soup which was a heavy cheese soup. It would be nice if the menu allowed you to get what you want instead of having to order something you don’t like. The food is very fresh though. Everything homemade!

Quaint little tea shop and high tea experience. Very enjoyable.
Dietary restrictions: Not an overwhelming amount of options for lower carb or whole foods, but the pastries, sandwiches and soups are very well done.
Parking: Had to park around the corner near the train station. About a 2hr limit.

I am happy to know there is a place for high tea in Connecticut, but it was not quite what I'm used to. The tea selection here is very nice. I got the Darjeeling tea, which was very nice. The cucumber sandwich was nice, but not very many cucumber slices on it. The scone was nice, but a little too sweet. The staff are very courteous and attentive. I will be back for sure ?

I didn't know what to expect, but was happy with what we experienced. We were there for a birthday party and it was authentic and delightful.I don't have anything to compare this to, but don't think that I will need to.
