Quaint little tea shop and high tea experience. Very enjoyable.Dietary restrictions: Not an overwhelming amount of options for lower carb or whole foods, but the pastries, sandwiches and soups are very well done.Parking: Had to park around the corner near the train station. About a 2hr limit.

What a charming place! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Seymour location. We ordered the afternoon tea where we each received a 2 cup pot of tea chosen from an extensive tea menu. We also had a choice of scones from their daily selections along with our choice of tea sandwiches and a dessert. Everything was very good. You can even purchase many of the teas as well as tea accessories on site. Cannot wait to return.

Went for a set meal high tea with a large group. It was rented for an occasion and it worked really well. Tea pots for each person (proper english presentation) a good variety of teas and lovely tea sandwiches, scones and other desserts served on tiered serving trays (again a proper english presentation). Service was friendly and I was amazed they did so well with a huge number of people. Our group took up all the tables in a whole room. I'm ready to go back and try with my Husband and daughters who all love high tea. Husband's mom was born in England. She taught us well.

I am happy to know there is a place for high tea in Connecticut, but it was not quite what I'm used to. The tea selection here is very nice. I got the Darjeeling tea, which was very nice. The cucumber sandwich was nice, but not very many cucumber slices on it. The scone was nice, but a little too sweet. The staff are very courteous and attentive. I will be back for sure ?

My friends and I had a wonderful early afternoon tea here on a Sunday. I had almond cookie tea (delish) and cranberry orange scone also very good with lemon curd, upgraded to the grilled cheese with Brie & apples, and finished with butterscotch oatmeal cookies. I ended up purchasing some tea to go home and loved the room the tea cups and serving tray, our server was super pleasant as well. Highly recommend! Afterwards we visited the little shops on the street which made for a wonderful day all around with friends.

Food was absolutely atrocious. Four of us went for a birthday tea, was so disappointed in the food.

I didn't know what to expect, but was happy with what we experienced. We were there for a birthday party and it was authentic and delightful.I don't have anything to compare this to, but don't think that I will need to.

Cramped corner table, scone very dry (but I realize that's scones for you) Tea sandwiches - herbed chicken salad, cucumber/mint delish! the brie/cranberry, i didn't taste or see any brie. Tea was as you'd expect, descriptions spot on. Dessert - my daughter enjoyed the pecan pie. My corner piece of carrot cake was very dry. not rushing back

love the atmosphere and everything about the restaurant, but they changed the tomato soup recipe and it's not good at all. Hope they go back to the previous recipe.

My Daughter and I have been to this tea house many times. Whenever she is home from Florida it's always been a place we go to. That changed a couple of weeks ago. The tea sandwiches that were made with Brie were so tiny, and no filling hardly! The scones were so dry it was pathetic, you could use them as hockey pucks. Even the tea was horrible. I asked the waitress if I could try another flavor as the tea had no flavor after steeping for a long time. She told me she would have to charge me for a different kind!!!! What??? The carrot cake was not fresh either. I agree with a lot of the reviews about this place. It has gone downhill and fast!! We will no longer waste our money going there. Feel like we were robbed!

We drove over 2 hours on a beautiful sunny day to get there and it was worth the trip. The Tea Room is cozy, and very nicely decorated. It is all very dainty. Staff were all pleasant and welcoming, and the service and food were excellent. There is a very large list of teas to choose from, but black tea is my favorite. We enjoyed scones, and two kinds of chicken salad sandwiches. My friend had a chocolate cupcake and I had pecan pie. They were both larger than served in other restaurants. This meal was served on a pretty, 3 tiered server. It really was a treat. The only negative is that my teacup had 3 stained cracks in it. Two of them were on the inside and the outside. If Idid not live so far away I would enjoy this little tearoom frequently.

Absolutely a favorite - I'd give 10 stars if I could! Seymour location has more of a cozy tea house vibe with salads, tea, desserts, sandwiches and other drinks. located right near MainStreet downtown. Walking distance to lots of antique shops, galleries, The Strand, and some salons. Oxford location has more of a cosmopolitan vibe right in Quarry Walk. Every time I have visited with friends, or with hubby for date night, it is absolute perfection in both places. The menus are amazing and dishes delicious. Wait staff is very attentive and personable. Hostess/host is always welcoming. We had our after wedding reception in the Oxford location for a group of about 18 people in 2022 and our guests still rave about it. Would recommend getting a reservation, spots fill up fast and with good reason!
