Best Secs of my life! (sausage egg and cheese sandwich)
Stopped in here on a whim seeking some coffee to continue our road trip.
Purchase the Almond Croissant and the Cornwall Roll.
OMG! We have an amazing bakery back at home that we love and this place was more amazing!
Great coffee and a very eclectic decor inside.
There was a steady stream of customers coming in so it seems very popular.
Highly recommend!
Oh yeah, delish Sourdough Boule that we had later with dinner.

The breakfast sandwiches are delicious! Don't pass up the breakfast aioli. I wasn't expecting much when I stopped on my way out of Kent, but this place was a gem!

Best bacon egg and cheese around…it’s the freshly baked rolls that make it next level although the eggs were cooked perfectly. Staff was incredibly nice as well ?
Fantastic & wonderful bakery inside a very carefully curated object d'art shop.

Blue Gate Bakery has become a weekly staple for our household. The town desperately needed a place like this and the breakfast sandwiches are the best that I’ve ever had. Our 8 year old daughter even orders two on Sunday so she can have one Monday morning as well. Everything I have ordered here has been absolutely delicious.

I will never ho there again or recommend it, there is no order when it comes to placing a order for food, I waited in line to order and when it came to my turn ,they took the order of some one who just walked in front of me and took her order, then they took the order of the person behind me and when I said I was next her excuse was sorry I didn't see you which was ridiculous because I was stand right in front of her. The place is nothing but chaos and when they get busy no one knows how to handle taking orders and when they screw up they think it's your fault.
One, because the hot chocolate is so good and two, because the people are so nice and me personally would go there every day just to hang out and I know that’s what lots of people do - I wish they were open every day thank you and Bruce and Yobana!-June Kramp

Lovely people, unique atmosphere and absolutely delicious pastries. We’ve tried the Cornwall Roll, the orange square, the lemon curd brûlée tart, the chestnut crunch, the baguette and the pain aux raisins. We used to live in Paris and are really, really glad such a great little bakery opened here, especially since Ellsworth Farm is under new ownership and no longer sells its miraculous cider donuts. Picking up pastries for a hike on the AT is the best way to spend a Saturday morning in the area. The store also has a beautiful collection of art, vintage posters, furniture, books, fabric, and all sorts of other things - 1960s Ghanaian wax cloth, Japanese rozome batik napkins, an Art Deco Chinese chest, an almost radiant birch dining table, a handmade Indian model boat with folk dolls on it, delicious-smelling tea, and all manner of fascinating objects. Really friendly and interesting people, too, of course!
Kid-friendliness: We took our baby in a stroller and it was fine. If the weather is nice enough to sit out front, kids could run around a bit and have a great time. The bakery is inside an antique / vintage design store so littles need to be careful inside.

This bakery is AMAZING!! Holy cow. I drove over an hour to try this bakery since I heard nothing but good things. Nothing but AUTHENTIC baked goods. Everything smelled delicious, the aroma alone when you walk in is heavenly. The pastries were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Yobana and Bruce were friendly and helpful, making the entire visit enjoyable. Options, options! There are many wonderful treats here. You'll have to come back multiple times to try them all. This is a must-try if you haven't had it before! The hot cocoa was a work of art! the BEC was the best one ever.
