First impression: thieves who greet you in French! QuiI avoid writing these types of reviews but I’ve never been fleeced before; 3/20/24 I stopped in for 2 cups of coffee $6+. Then asked for a side of bacon, this is all to go, TOTAL $15.03. The bacon was great, coffee was equivalent to bitter highway rest stop quality. Approximately $9 for a side of bacon. I wondered if the young man at the register just robbed me on his own or if this was compliments of the café.I just renovated 4 properties and have been compiling a list of places that are worth a visit. This is not it! Dishonest and DISAPPOINTING.

The best place for a croissant in this area! Coffee is delicious, too. Relaxed atmosphere and plenty of tables. Highly recommend for a late morning snack.

Authentic French bistro in a small CT town. Try the hot cocoa with an almond croissant. Or tuna nicoise. Robert and the staff could not be more pleasant.

Food -- amazing. Truly delicious, old school selections. Service -- average. Felt somewhat pressured to hurry, even though we weren't dallying. Ambiance -- okay. It's in a strip mall, so... We had a gift certificate that was left with the restaurant's owner when it was purchased, and he assured me that they would be able to find it without a problem, but of course when it was time to close the check, neither the server nor the hostess could find it anywhere, and the owner was in Europe. The restaurant was fairly busy at that moment, and neither of the employees seemed particularly interested in spending time on the problem, which was pretty annoying. I ended up using a credit card and then having to speak to the owner about it later. He was kind enough to refund the amount to my credit card later. But the entire episode could have been avoided.

We were out for a drive and staying nearby. This is a lovely place for dinner or lunch. Crowd was constant. It took a long while for our server to get to us. He instead seemed to gravitate to other tables that Sat after us. We felt invisible. A glass of wine, onion soup and croque monsieur were our selections and were perfect I must say. Ignoring the service we left happy. I’d go back. Maybe I need to be more demanding so my husband and I don’t go unnoticed. It’s a terrible feeling that shouldn’t happen. Le Gamin is a tremendous establishment tho. Lucky to be there in that Location. I just wish I could take them back to our town.Parking: There’s plenty

Excellent little French diner. You can't go wrong with a French onion soup. Or a croque madam. Lovely little spot. Do it.
