Lovely and straightforward - nice ambiance, staff, coffee, and breakfast! Will be our new go-to with the kids. Simple, tasty, and done right.

I was going to dine here and glad I came to the reviews First. Wow, the way the owner trash talks bad reviews. YIKES.
I wouldn't give them a dime of my money.

Don’t use DoorDash or any other service. This restaurant has free delivery. Not sure why they are signed up with DoorDash and grubhub but they are. Great food ?
Great family restaurant! We had a phenomenal breakfast (the homefries are a must!!) and the staff is so friendly you feel like family. Can’t wait to come back!

First time in CT, Visiting a friend. This place was a great experience. I had the salmon avocado Benedict and mango mimosa. Both were delicious! My friend and I were catching up so the service was spot on - perfectly timed without much interruption. Exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended!

Small friendly place. Excellent breakfasts, entrees and Mediterranean offerings. Friendly owner/chef modifies dishes for dietary needs. We go back weekly!

We tried Benny’s for the first time and were very satisfied. We LOVE their coffee which it’s hard to please us both with coffee. My husband likes his dark and bold and I like mine medium. Benny’s coffee hits the spot right between the two!
I had a California omelette and he had a corned beef hash and eggs. I didn’t try the homemade jam but he did and said it was delicious. I appreciated the house home fries as they were seasoned just right (not overly as some places do). I am GF and saw several options for GF but passed on bread that day so can’t speak to its quality. But nice to know that in the future that I can count on GF bread options. Oh and the decor was very nice, not overly but new and fresh and clean.
Five stars from our family.

We discovered this phenomenal place by accident when we arrived at the bagel shop across the street just after it closed. We saw Benny's across the street and figured why not?
The staff was so nice; our server Jessie was very attentive and after the meal the cook/owner(?) came out to check on our food. The food was amazing! I had the best panini- a Mediterranean one off the specials meni- and she had a Benedict with unbelievably poached eggs and homemade Hollandaise sauce. We can't wait to go back!

Initially drove by Benny’s because one of the reviews said it was pricy, but decided to give it a shot. My son and I had an amazing breakfast and coffee for $21! Service was perfect, the kids meals were very well done with a surprising variety in the side of fruit. We just moved to the area and will be coming back for sure!

FINAL EDIT:
I feel like its important to say: I DO NOT GET PAID FOR MY REVIEWS. Why would I give a rave review, and want to be a return customer only to change my stance? As I said, it was indeed busy, but not overly and when people arrive after & depart before we've even been served, its a problem. We DID ask where the manager was & got nowhere.
EDIT: TRIP #2 WAS HORRIBLE.
Took the whole family for breakfast on Memorial Day, around 11:15. The restaurant was busy, but it's not a huge restaurant, so no big deal, right? Wrong. Our server took our order @ 11:40. At noon, we still had no food. We saw people who had arrived after us being served ahead of us. 10 minutes later, she came to apologize that we'd been waiting for 30 minutes & our ticket "was up next." We continued to watch others get served & one table that came in after us had already finished eating, paid & were leaving. At 12:20, 40 minutes after order in, server came back, telling us we were "the next ticket" (still). No manager came to speak with us & we simply left, without eating, more than an hour after our arrival. Very disappointing after our initial fantastic experience a month ago.

Came here today. Waitress was very pleasant. I asked for their Cheddar Bacon Burger. I asked for light mustard and pickles added to it, ketchup & onion. No pickles, too much mustard, and tomato was on it. . The owner found out that my order was messed up and he was very gracious about the whole thing. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor of the burger, but it was very juicy, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. My daughter's Gero came out decent. She liked it, I'm just not a fan of Gero's. Pleasant atmosphere, nice people who care enough about the food to apologize when it's not 100%. I'll come back to check out some other items and give it another chance. It matters nowadays that they care enough to apologize and offer to fix it. I'll update at a later date.

We just had breakfast at Benny's today. I had caprese Benedict on sour dough toast. First, the plate was almost too pretty to eat. Beautifully prepped. 2nd, It was flavorful and the eggs were cooked perfect. Fresh spinach and tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. It was perfectly done. Coffee was hot and fresh and the waitress was lovely. It was a 5 Star experience and we will definitely be returning.

If you're looking for a solid, unassuming "country diner" spot with great breakfast food and comfort food, this is your place! Nice service, comfortable vibes...you can even access it from the bike path if you're riding by! Recommended.
