Plan B Burger Bar - Simsbury

Oh no… my partner and I waited over an hour for 2 burgers, we get the burgers and his burger has an uncooked egg on it and theres hair in the fries and all of our food is cold… The front of house was turning people away at the door because no food was coming out for a good 45 minutes at least. They had a new waiter tonight and he was just about the only good thing about the night, so kind so personable and very apologetic about the absolute nightmare we were experiencing. Please for the love of god, do better.

Ordered take out today- 2 burgers. I arrived when the order said it would be ready. A blonde server who seemed to be annoyed with my presence told me it wasn’t finished yet. I waited there for an additional 25 minutes and the whole time I noticed a to go bag on a table in the dining room (a normal table where guests can be seated) but thought to myself it couldn't be my order since the server told me it was not ready and the weird location of the to go bag. After the server, bartender and manager ignored me the whole 25 minutes while i was waiting with no update and making no eye contact I finally asked the bartender to check on my order again and he looked at the take out bag that had been sitting there since I arrived and it was mine. There was no apology or recognition for their mistake. It’s too bad because the food would have been good if it hadn't been cold by the time I got home.

Here is an update, we went there in sept 2025 with friends, they ran out of plates with apps & they said plates were going to be brought out, but never got plates, waitress forgot, how could this happen at a restaurant? We never got pickles, apparently they are no longer offered, have to ask, this is poor reflection of service!They ran out of dessert, was told that they had to get from other locations, how to run restaurant like this! Spoke to Chris General Manager, said he call me back, he never did, avoiding my calls!

I have gotten take out 3 times and 3 times my order has been wrong. I called to speak to manager, Rodney who said he would send gift card due to the problems I endured and I had to call 3 x and still never received gift card! Poor attention to customer satisfaction!

Extremely poor service. My wife and I came here to eat, we had our 7 month old. When we first got there, nobody else was waiting for a table. We asked to sit outside and a couple had just left so a table was open. They asked us to give them 15 min to clean it and come back. So we waiting outside for 15 minutes. The table still wasn’t clean and so we went in there again…and a second time we’re told the same thing. We sat again and waited, keep in mind no new people arrived during the first 30 minutes of us waiting for them to clean a table. During that time another table opened up outside. We sat and watched as the servers would disappear inside and just not come back outside. It would have taken 2 minutes to wipe down a table. The. It started getting busy. We went back in and the server was all excited because her friends arrived and asked them if they would like to sit in or outside. She sat them quickly inside and then continued to tell me it would be another 15.

This place needs a better system. We eventually left after 45 minutes of us waiting on a table to get cleaned. Legend has it that it’s still there and unclean.

3rd time's a charm. Burger cooked to perfection.

Definitely worth stopping by to check out. From the bartenders, the hostess/waiters, to the kitchen - they are all top notch and will leave you happy (and full)! Highly recommend the MOAB burger, you won’t be disappointment.

Mica or Mika - not sure was a delightful server - she came right over - super friendly - took our drink orders - me and my wife each ordered a Sam Adams Octoberfest - they came out quick - as flat though as a tortilla run over by a fire truck - no foam - not even a trace - tasted like an open beer left for 3 days in the refrigerator- I didn’t want to complain because I didn’t want Mika to have to go back and forth trying to get us fresh beers - the two burgers were great btw - Service was perfect - Mika came over 2 or 3 times asked if we were ok-if we needed anything else etc - I didn’t want to complain about the beers until the bill came and she asked how everything was - I said everything was great except the beers were horribly flat - but we drank them anyway as they were cold and we were thirsty - so she apologized and then came back and said - yeah you’re right the bartender said it was the bottom of the keg - Mika asked “would you like to see if I can at least take one off the bill because of the quality? - I said - I’d rather have one fresh beer of your choosing to split with my wife - she said - oh sure that could work - 2 minutes later she comes back and says - the bartender says no can do - no free one and No taking one off the bill cause I drank them. - now I may be a little old - but I’m thinking this is not how you run a restaurant if you want repeat customers - I mean I’m kinda thinking one free beer for 2 bad beers that I’m paying for would be a fair kind of customer service right thing to do - and btw I am a repeat customer and have been for years - but sorry to say you’re bartender has unfortunately turned me off to ever coming back - so for a 6 dollar beer - which costs you a dollar - I won’t be spending my usual 500 - 600 dollars this year and I’ll be sure to steer my friends and family away from your petty establishments- we do have choices - and Max Burger is not so far down the road - so sad to say it’s good riddance and way to go for putting such a very sweet server in an awkward position - not cool -

Happened to go at the end of their Lobster Feast menu...such GREAT timing! Had the lobster roll & sweet potato fries, all was delicious!!! Outside dining a real treat & wait staff was great! Always have had great food & service at Plan B, highly recommend!

Great spit for lunch. Always predictable burgers ? and several nonburger choices. I love their "green fries" and this is the only place to get them. Tom, at the bar, knows the draft selection well!!

i remember going here with my ex best friend in may 2023 and it was amazing! i loved the atmosphere/energy/vibes of the place. the food there was phenomenal and i’d def recommend going here!!

Solid chili cheeseburger. Nothing special but it got the job done. The place is really cool inside but the door handle was burning hot and was also a bit hard to open. It was a hot, sunny day, but it still shouldn't be that hot. Anyways, the service was actually really good and our waiter was nice. If I'm ever in town, I'd go here with a couple friends.
