The wait here on a weekend is out of control. 50 minutes for 2 iced coffees and a hot coffee? Unreal! We didn’t even order espresso. They also lost our ticket, but that doesn’t even weight into the wait as everyone else around us was also waiting an hour.
This place needs queue signs with wait times like six flag or something. I would never have gotten in line if I knew the wait would be that long. The forgetting our order was icing on the cake. Once we went to check on our ticket they had the coffees made in 30 seconds.
Coffee is good but even the finest coffee in the world isn’t worth an hour wait. Yeesh.

Long wait for low quality. On the surface this looks like a nice little spot but 45 minutes for a hot coffee with cream and sugar and a bagel. Then they give me the bagel without the coffee so I ask for the coffee and they give the wrong size. The week before, 30 mins for a coffee. Too busy to argue about it. This seems to be a common complaint in the reviews. Understaffed, underprepapared...apparently management doesn't care to respond to reviews or take actions to fix the level of service. I may return for cars and coffee events but I won't waste half the morning inside waiting for a coffee.

Absolutely stunning spot! Bird House Café in South Windsor is such a hidden gem. The outdoor seating area is magical—especially the cozy fire pit, which adds such a warm and inviting vibe. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up or a quiet moment with your coffee. Speaking of which, the coffee was excellent—smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. I also tried the biscotti, and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere make this a place I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

I came here this morning for breakfast and coffee with a friend and we were both quite disappointed. The atmosphere was welcoming, lively, and comfortable, and the huge crowd made us excited to enjoy a delicious breakfast. However, the prices and wait time were far from worth it. We waited 30 minutes for 2 iced lattes, and our food was ready in the back but we were not given our food (2 breakfast sandwiches) until I asked to check on our order. We both thought the sandwiches were delicious, but were upset to find out that breakfast sandwiches are only halves - for $10.50 each. We would consider coming back at a much less busy time, but I would not recommend stopping here if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat.

I like this spot a lot! The coffee is good and is roasted in house. It's always clean and the aesthetics are nice and well put together. I will say, the food is overpriced for what it is and the servers seem a bit overwhelmed.

I am done, I've learned this lesson over and over again. The coffee is great. But the excessive wait times for overpriced barely mediocre food is awful. I waited 40 minutes for a breakfast sandwich to be both burnt and (sausage) undercooked. Got a refund, but no apology. They offered to remake, but I was not going to wait that long a second time.
The issues have piled up and I can no longer overlook them. Do not recommend unless you're grabbing a coffee to-go.

Love this place. The food is good, the coffee is good, and the atmosphere is fun. The only problem I've had here is sometimes finding a place to sit even though it's a large place. But, that's understandable since it's so popular.
Cozy little coffee shop with plenty of pastries and great lattes. I had the veggie fritatta. Great flavor and portion size.

I drive all the way from Glastonbury to come here and I am here often. The staff is super nice. Best coffee choice mix…. and the bakery or breakfast dishes are delicious . The atmosphere whether inside or outside… is very relaxing. I come here to work, or just meet up with family and we love this place.
