My favorite weekday breakfast spot to meet friends! Mary, the sweetest, peppiest and kindest server, always stops by our table to greet us and offer a hug. Emerald’s has a gem in Mary! This restaurant reminds me of the good ole’ days… similar to an A.C. Petersen’s! They are consistent with their offerings each and every time and reasonably priced.

Came here on the rebound for breakfast after I walked out of a former favorite in East Hartford. Very happy with the find. People, place and the food is all top shelf. I'll be back with friends

40 minute wait after i ordered breakfast this morning. Food was ok.. went to cash out stood at the front at the register took 10 minutes to get someone to cash me out.

Basic Breakfast diner filled with retired regulars. I won’t return, and will urge others to stay away, because the waitress stealthily added an extra $3 for “C” on my check. That was basically 20% of the bill— I didn’t have coffee and I even paid 3.50 extra for real maple syrup. Pretty sneaky and underhanded. She wrote the check, took my card, and brought me the receipt, so pretty clear where the fault lies. Maybe this is how places are keeping menu prices down for the regulars. Hope the retirees complaining about their Medicare rates going up aren’t subjected to this BS.

I used to love this place but today was horrible experience! Our server was non attentive at best and when ever was running the kitchen needs to be replaced! It took about 45 minutes for our food to come out and we ordered for the. Children first and didn’t get their bacon until they were all done eating. I asked to speak to the owner who was “too busy” too busy to come out to talk to me. Seriously? She needs to reconsider how she serves her customers because these places are a dime a dozen! $70 for breakfast and I still gave. $17 tip because it’s the right thing to do but I hope this is a lesson to bother the owner and the inattentive server! I will NEVER go back there

A quaint breakfast place with good daily specials. Coffee was decent. I sat at the counter which doubles as a waiter station. You may want to consider a table.

Went Emeralds this morning for breakfast. The place was slammed with one waitress. Three tables the seated after us were helped. A young man finally came to us and took our simple order. I asked for a coffee and a water. Still no service..A young woman came around with a coffee pot. I mention to her I ordered coffee and needed a cup. I thought she would return with a cup of coffee. She proceeded to clean off tables. We left. If you are under staffed maybe you should make customers aware and have your two table clearers cross trained.
