We ordered a birthday cake with strawberry and peach filling. It was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved it and was asking where we got it. Can’t wait to get that again!

The GF cupcakes and cake were amazing! I was so pleased with the decorations and presentation. My husband was able to have his cake and eat it to! Thank you!

I grew up getting cake from “old-fashioned” bakeries that used a buttercream recipe where it crusted on the outside (pretty sure it’s made with shortening). I had a couple bakeries where I grew up that were my go-to’s but they closed. I moved out here and haven’t been able to find a bakery with that frosting (and I’ve tried almost all the bakeries) until Giuseppina’s. I got a slice of the birthday cake today and it was exactly the way I remember the frosting to be. This will be my new go-to bakery! If you’re like me and looking for that frosting you remember from your childhood in the 80’s then try the birthday cake here (white cake, white frosting, sprinkles on top).

My first visit to this hidden gem. But it's really not hidden at all. It's located in the Plaza ACROSS from Giesslers. I had a chat with the owner and her niece about all their deserts and treats. I resisted the urge to buy absolutely everything is the display cases. I fell in love with a mint chocolate layer cake... it was beyond good. And I also picked out some dinner before leaving. Based on niece's recommendation, I selected the sausage, spinach, and potato stromboli - just 15 minutes in the oven... added my own sauce and cheese. Yum!
The cookies and cakes are going to be part of my next party. Definitely stop in and see what they have to offer. Selection, price, quality, and taste are way way beyond any grocery store, specialty market, or big box.
Go explore this hidden gem!

Kind, welcoming, and generous.

After it was ascertained that it was our first time, Marissa (sorry, if I misspelled your name) dove right into the spiel:

Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.

Now, what do you like? Fruit or no fruit?

Cherry, strawberry, raspberry? Ok, got it.

You like peanut butter? Here, try this one.

You like apricot? Try this.”

Shall I continue, or do you get the picture?

There’s no way to resist her charm, or her onslaught of visually tasty treats.

Even my daughter, who’s not a big cookie/treat kind of girl loved it.

The Apricot cookie became an instant favorite for the both of us. ***I wish I had a picture, but sadly it didn’t survive the journey home***

It’s our first time, and definitely not our last.

Thank you!

This place is awesome. Awesome pastries and wonderful stuffed breads. Having been dealing with the big two in Hartford, this is my new go to for Italian pastries and stuff bread.
