I thought the seafood delight that I ordered was a seafood disappointment. It reminded me of chow mein. It had a lot of celery in it no Chinese vegetables in it. Whatever vegetables in it was American and overly cooked and mushy not too many shrimp. It had a dried up piece of lobster meat in a half of a lobster tail shell. Quarter slices of scallops tiny ones barely there and totally tasteless. That was the worst seafood delight I've ever had. For $17 it wasn't worth it. The Cantonese wonton was the best wonton soup I ever had. It had large thin slices of pork in it and lots of wonton in a flavorful chicken broth with green onions for a small container it was worth getting way more than the seafood delight. I only went there because China eagle in Ellington closed. I was very disappointed when I saw that it closed. They had thr best seafood delight in the area and lobster chow mein around. It's supposed to be reopening soon under new management hopefully they will be as good as the original owners there. I dont recommend Hong Kong house restaurant. Not worth spending your money there.

Personally like their food a lot. Order there every few weeks. Today however I ordered online (had receipt) picked up order and drove 15 minutes home. Was given wings instead of tenders for my 5 year old who can not have wings with bones in and she started screaming and crying. I called to let them know and then had to drive 15 minutes back to drop off their wings to get my tenders which I would imagine they will be giving those wings to someone later which is suspect. For the hassle of driving an extra 30 minutes I feel like either give the wings that are now cold or apologize or something, but nothing. Just don’t order wings tonight please lol.

Rice has no flavor and the dumplings are made in a different type of wrapping and it’s very off . Only nice thing is they deliver but the food isn’t worth it .

I loved them but I just found a very hard substance in my food was being nice even after I recognized it was a pebble or rock of some sort in my food. When I called the lady acted as if I was speaking clearly enough. I said when and what I ordered and told her exactly what I found. After that she was oblivious to everything I was saying. I have a family I can be feeding my people this food and they could have ate that swallowed it and got sick or kids I'm highly upset with them. I spent $34 to almost be potentially sick and eat a rock? To then explain myself to them tonfeel like I'm the crazy one? Okay

First time here; Ordered the crab ragoons and they were awful! I’ve been sick ever since I ate them 🤢 I will never be back. Strongly do not recommend!

Bland rice. Looks more like yellow Spanish rice than Chinese. Pork dumpling look like they were made with rice paper and dog food. I have seen that consistency of meat, in a dumpling in my life. Unfortunately our usual place was closed and we tried something closer to home. Big mistake!

Fabulous!! Choosing any other Chinese restaurant would be a big mistake. Such flavor, tenderness to the meats, terrific pork fried rice, crunch to the fried shrimp coating but tenderness to the shrimp. Fantastic!!!! Well worth the money. You won't be disappointed ?!!

The place is an ok substitute for Sun Sun. It can get a bit salty, need to ask them for lower salt. To go orders only. Place needs to be refurbished.

This is take out only, but as Chinese food goes, I would say it is definitely some of the best around. Been here twice now and each time we have not been disappointed. Food is crispy and flavorful and the owners are very pleasant.
