Taste by Spellbound II

I realize I'm in the minority reviewing with fewer stars but this was my limited experience. As a disclaimer, I do want to mention I only tried 1 item from the menu to gauge this place which may not be an accurate representation of the entire menu. I did give 2 starts because the service was great, the lady who was at the desserts counter was very nice, friendly and helpful. The desserts did look very pretty. What I did order was a matcha and unfortunately that totally turned me off to the place. I make matcha at home, Ive had it at many cafes, I'd say I'm pretty well versed in matcha but I'm not really a snob about it. However, for a cafe that charges nearly $6 (7 with tip), you need to be providing a premium product. You dont need to use ceremonial grade like some shops do, you should be at least using a decent product. The matcha used in this latte was the lowest grade culinary matcha you could find, the kind you bake and cook with because by japanese standards, it is too poor quality to be made into tea. Ceremonial grade matcha or even a mid grade is usually vibrant green, this stale culinary grade matcha was swampy and sludgey and this murky green. Even Starbucks uses a premium matcha, which is delicious. This gives me the impression that they are the type of business that charges premium while trying to get away with using the cheapest product they can find. Maybe their coffee is good because they use silk city and I like their coffee, I could not order one though because even though its on the menu, they didn't have any decaf beans. This location has a setting that inspires peace. I sat and had a latte with a pumpkin coffee cake and It was so relaxing that I disconnected from everything. The service was excellent, and their desserts are amazing.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this place is amazing, the desserts always taste fresh and always have unique flavors that change so its not the same thing. Customer service is great and these are the best desserts and macaroons I’ve ever had:)

Very cute place. The coffee is great and the baked goods... honestly no words for how delicious it was. PLEASE try the coffee cake, it actually melts in your mouth!

Excellent treats and such fun decor

This place is an absolute gem! The coffee is rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed every time, and the cup cakes are out of this world—fresh, yummy, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into everything they make.

The atmosphere is warm , beautiful and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or just relaxing with a cup of coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to recommend something new to try.

Highly recommend to anyone who loves great coffee, delicious baked goods, and genuine hospitality! The Ambience is so great.! Perfect for Dates.!

Really enjoyed this spot! The decor and seating areas are so cute but more importantly, the treats and coffee are excellent. We had a brownie and a cupcake and they were so tasty. The cold brew was also delish and I’m picky when it comes to coffee, but this was perfect. I’ll definitely be back!

So fortunate to live nearby and have absolutely loved everything I've tried here so far. The inside is so cozy and welcoming and the service has always been great. I've only tried their macarons and wow the flavor that these little gems have are fantastic. I've tried peanut butter and jelly, browned butter apricot, birthday cake, salted caramel, and a few others i can't remember but each one has been a decadent knockout!!! I also tried a berry cupcake on a whim and WOW the cake was moist and the frosting and filling were just perfect, a homemade delightful treat. Highly recommend this lovely place! I wish they were open on Sundays and Tuesdays!!

Very cute little shop! The matcha was the highlight for me, very good quality matcha and flavor for a decent price! The desserts were very nice as well, and the staff were helpful, patient and friendly.

I think this place is adorable, quaint and has immense potential. I’ve tried multiple desserts from this place and my only critique is that the bakes are waaay to sweet. I understand that dessert requires sugar, but every single item I’ve tried is so sweet that I can only eat it one-two bites at a time. I think if they modify the sweetness, they would be a 10/10!

Cool concept and great cakes!

Such a nice location, inside is gorgeous and a great place to have your coffee, relax, perhaps read a magazine, book or newspaper. So the selection of sweets is very small and they do not make rolls, bread or bagels....strictly dessert type choices and they open at 10:00am. My wife try 4 of their items and like only one. So base on that I will not come back and would rather go to Panera or Starbuck for the selection and the hours. Nice people working in that location!!!

Really cute shop and always has the best selection of treats! Highly recommend the macarons (every bite is pure bliss) but you really can’t go wrong with any choice
