It's a decent eatery... obviously first abd foremost it's a bar.. we stopped in because we lost power so was a close choice for dinner. Food was all prepared fresh and was good. Hubby got steak bomb special, said was tasty, I ordered the arches burger.. was good tasted like a good quality burger . Was unevenly cooked one side being med rare ( as asked) other more medium.. but was still tasty. Daughter got Caesar wrap and other got beer Mac n cheese. Which she was totally disappointed w.. we all expected it to be really creamy ( having has that sauce several times w pretzels) but wasn't very creamy and hardly any on the pasta it was dry. So that was bomb but everything else was great.

A rather quaint little place, tucked in the back hills of Stafford springs Connecticut. A great atmosphere, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. The food was very good and the portions were respectable. They are also kid friendly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I wouldn't recommend this place. I tried this place 3 different times and each time I was let down. The food prices aren't bad but the food is. The burgers are extremely greasy and have no flavor at all. The chicken is very dry. The tots are extremely salty. The sloppy joes are sloppy but don't have any flavor. The inside of the restaurant is nice and rustic and the staff is nice. Just wish the food was as good as the restaurant looks.

My family loves Stillwater. The food and atmosphere is great. Wednesday night trivia is always a blast. Prices are a bit high, but at least the food is really good and they do have a rewards program.

When my fiancés family, originally from CT, fly up from florida this is always our meeting point. Its a nice halfway point between their side of CT and our side of MA. Food is always great, atmosphere is always friendly, its a nice little hidden treasure
