We went to the Engine Room for lunch and we will not be back. Be very careful if you have food sensitivity or allergies. After our experience today, it's clear that the kitchen staff could care less about their customers and have no concern for their safety. Our server and the manager were apologetic about the situation, which is the only reason for a 2nd star.

Great food, quick service, friendly atmosphere. What more could you ask for in a restaurant!

Been here twice, once for lunch and a second time for dinner. Lunch was fantastic, same meal ordered for dinner was average at best. When they got busy service quality declined. I'd give them a third chance next time I'm in town.
We had larger party (8 people) incline 4 kids (one 20 month old, others 5-7).

All of our food was good, except the NY strip I ordered was the oddest looking ny I've ever been served. It had good flavor but was full of inedible gristle and fat. My husband's scallops were also very flavorful but the menu made it sound like the more was included on the plate. It ended up being what I would call a small portion. The last time we come everything we got was amazing .

Battered cod was great. Decent fries. Coleslaw was bland and very tough. Pickles taste like plastic. Chipotle chicken sandwich was decent. Only 3 stars because of open kitchen in view of seating area. I don’t want to see how my food is handled. If someone sneezes there’s no barricade aka wall to keep germs floating into kitchen area. Lighting needs improvement. Too dim to read menu. They don’t have a beer flight. Beer could be way colder. Decent prices for vacation area.

Did not have to wait on Sun evening around 6pm. Server was friendly, and he commiserated with my wife who has celiac disease (said his mother does, too). My wife’s GF burger bun held together and she liked it. I had the fish and chips, which were nothing special. The coleslaw was very salty.

This place is a great staple down in Mystic. Every service person is polite and smiles. The beer selection is great, mixed drinks are good too. Had a engine Cobb salad.. amazing! Great execution of service and food.

Not bad of a seafood themed restaurant in Mystic, Connecticut. Enjoyed the dishes here. Staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations for what to order. Overall, a nice decent lunch experience. Cheers.

Absolutely extraordinary Burger! And the smoked fish tartine was excellent as well. The potato side is a refreshing alternative to french fries.

Terrible service and subpar food
Came highly recommended from friends who spent a lot of time in Mystic. Got here on a Monday night and were out of the appetizer we were hoping for. It was out of 2 entrees that I also was hoping for. After striking out 3 times, I had to settle fot chicken. Our first time to Mystic, I was hoping for seafood. Although the food was good, it would have been helpful to know that they were out of popular items at the beginning so we could have gone elsewhere. The server apologized, but was somewhat dismissive for the items. Not the service I would have expected for the cost of the food.

I had the French Toast Casserole and it was the worst French Toast I ever had. The Lemon flavored yogurt couldn't save it. It was tasteless and dry, no maple syrup was served with it. I ate half and then gave up. Yuck.

I was there for family brunch on Sunday. I should’ve known better. It was the weekend of the mystic art show. I ordered a steak and eggs for brunch. I ordered the steak medium rare it came out and I think I heard it moo.
I sent it back and they gave me a new meal but this time it was medium well. I wouldn’t have minded so much, but the waitress really seem to not care one bit. No biggie just won’t go back.
