They seemed to be getting ready for a big party when I got there so service was a bit slow but once I was seated it was fine. I had their calamari poutine appetizer which was more than a meal covered in lobster bisque with plenty of fried calamari. It was worth every penny. It was delicious.
Food and drink was outstanding. Service was a tad sketchy largely because the staff had been informed by email a few days before our visit that the restaurant was closing 7/31/22 so the Seaport Museum could tear down the building for a boutique hotel. That being said, staff was still friendly and professional. Again, the food was outstanding and the Mystic area will be losing a real gem.
On vacation. Lovely outdoor seating under a tent, on the water. The location, setting, view, ambiance were perfect. The food was fine but nothing really stood out. Location was great for us because after 9 hours of driving, the convenience of parking was much appreciated. Overall, I would eat there again.
This review is based on the restaurant being closed for a private event when we arrived. We had made the reservation through Open Table weeks in advance. Having to find another dinner reservation during a very busy summer season in Newport was difficult. We would have liked to have eaten at Latitude 41 as other reviews are quite good. Someone in management needs to own up and apologize.
Reservations made, with no wait time for our table upon arrival. Parking is convenient across the street, . Nice setting on the Mystic River. We elected to eat outside, as the evening along the river was sunny and warm. Great waiter . . . friendly, attentive and very helpful, with lots of additional wait staff that pitched in. Our servings were staggered, just as we asked . . . food choices were somewhat limited, but great choices and were perfectly prepared. We had a great time for an anniversary celebration. The waiter even helped with a picture. We will definitely go again.
We loved our lunch at this restaurant. It's located on one end of Mystic Seaport Museum. Our server, John, was efficient, had perfect timing and was so much fun. A great place to take a break from the heat during your visit to the Museum.
We booked this restaurant for dinner and it was great! We had two kids with us and the waiter was great with them. Service was great! We sat under a tent with a view of the ocean. Everything we ordered was very good! Would recommend to anyone in the mystic area
We were very disappointed. We thought this was going to be a fine dining experience . It felt more like a museum cafeteria. I was surprised that it was empty at first but then I realized why. I don't understand how this pace is so highly rated. Maybe it was an off night. The server was good. The food was just not really that impressive. My wife did not think the scallops were fresh. It also felt like the place was getting ready to close for the day from the time we arrived. .

This is a great spot right on the Mystic River, just outside the Mystic Seaport. The bar looks great but we chose to eat outside under the tent. The view over the lawn to the river is great as was the service and we loved the menu and the food
Restaurantji Recommends

They have a limited menu but the waiter said it will change each week. The food was hot and tasty and arrived quickly. The waiter was very attentive and we enjoyed his conversations. The best part of the evening however was the view! Sitting outdoors on the Mystic river was perfect!
Came here with our Winnebago caravan group. We had our own dining room. The restaurant is on the grounds of the Mystic Seaport. The clam chowder was thick, loaded with claims and tasty. Highly recommend. Rating... excellent.
We chose this restaurant based on the proximity to the Mystic Wooden Boat Show. Our seating time was 1:30 and we were seated immediately. Even though the restaurant was full, the waitress did an excellent job and was attentive to our needs. The cuisine was very good (fish tacos). I would dine there again and recommend it to anyone attending the boat show.
Our food was delicious. We had the special for 2 which included two lobster tails, a 16oz rib eye, smashed roasted potatoes, asparagus, roasted carrots, a glass of wine each and a dessert each. It was more food than we could eat, but we certainly made a point of finishing the nice sized lobster tail. The only disappointment was our waiter. We kept an eye on the other two waiters who were terrific, and had to rely on listening to one of them to get the full details on the specials. Our waiter left out much of the information and had to refer to his phone to get information sometimes. Even then, we had to ask questions, such as what wines can we choose from. Seemed a bit scatterbrained.Location was lovely as well.
