Drove 20 minutes for coffee and they were closed at noon even though they listed their hours as open until 4pm :(

We’ve come back multiple times since it’s so close to home . First serval times the service was not satisfactory but we like to keep going local when possible . The staff/ owner is consistently very unwelcoming. Their responses to others I know was very gaslighting toned ( not genuinely concerned and placing blame on the customer ) if that many people say the same thing , it’s not everyone’s fault . We are always excited to get bagels and lattes . I’ve observed the staff making food with no gloves right after touching cash and trash cans . They are very rude on top of that . Unfortunately we won’t return anymore , the prices are too high anyway to continue to receive such poor service . There are plenty of local places to go .
Update to my review :
Owners response below has proven my point . We did let you and staff know first on more than one occasion . These are also not “ accusations “ they are real experiences in your place of business . It is also a customers right to leave a review, especially after multiple poor experiences over the years . God bless

The bagels are great and fresh, smoothies are good, but they lack consistency, and they allow the women employees to wear inappropriate clothing attire, as if we were at a gym..

Best espresso and smoothies around…
The drinks are top notched. I also love the people who remember me and my order. Makes me feel like an important customer.

Beautiful and delightful coffee shop! The drinks are outstanding and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, we don’t live near by, but we always make sure to make a specifically stop or two anytime we come in town. Their London fog is delicious. The atmosphere is just lovely! Can’t wait to come back!

The mocha latte was the best one I've had in a long time. For a small shop, they have a good selection of pastries and they make smoothies! The price was fair, the food and customer service were great. I definitely recommend this place if you like good coffee. Next time I'm in that area, I'll make it a point to stop in.

Very poor service. We basically had to catch the attention of the cashier who was just blatantly staring at us without any greeting. Bagels are lackluster and there are definitely better around. Way too expensive for the quality of food. Only decent thing we got was the matcha latte, which tastes watered down

Very distracted service. Over charged for a simple takeout bagel order. Bought a few bagels without toppings. But, was charged for bagels with cream cheese. Naturally no receipt was provided.

The place is nice and quaint, but they are extremely understaffed. They only had two people working to man all the stations. So I waited in line for like 30 minutes just to order.

Best cup of coffee and cappuccino around. The aquarium is awesome, totally relaxing and nice to look at. Macondo also has great bagels. The staff also keeps the coffee shop very clean and tidy. Highly recommended.
