Pizza was good, but the place was awfully loud inside. Not good for a conversation.
Old Mystic Village, Sat. afternoon for lunch. Very busy but not a long wait to get seated. Seating inside or out. In side at a table or bar seating. Sat down, very busy, bustling with waitresses, doing all the jobs. We ordered the shark bites and the jake pizza. Heard a lot of good things about there pizza. The crust thin, crunchy and honestly a very good pizza and the jake was very tasty. Our waitress was busy but ontop of everything. This is not a fast food place, took a bit but it was worth the wait. You will see in the house rules that good things come to those who wait. Would come again, maybe not on a Sat. afternoon. Their is only two bathrooms, there was a line and the bathrooms are huge, could have put stalls to make it more efficient but no other complaints. This is not a quiet place but was able to still have a conversation without shouting. Redo place. It is handicap accessible

Updating my one star review from 6 years ago. Our initial experience here was not good but we tried it again the other day and the pizza was great. We really enjoyed sitting outside and had a great time. We will try again in a couple weeks and if it was just as good I will make it 5 stars.

We came here after a trip to the Mystic Aquarium. The service was good but overall the pros stopped there. Atmosphere was decent with good music playing throughout. The food however was very disappointing. We ordered the “Shark Bites” for our kids, which were just frozen chicken nuggets not properly heated up in their wood oven. The pizza was bland bland bland. Crust was crispy but had no flavor. No flavor in the sauce either. For almost $20/ small pizza, should be a lot better.

It was a very good pizza. Ordered the BVI, which has bacon, tomato, and onion. Was a little bit more doughy than I’m used to or prefer for a wood fired pizza. But still good! They seem to use a lot of good ingredients. Not quite sure why it’s $30 for a 16” pizza though. Lol
We found a pizza place we liked today, in Olde Mystik Village.
My pizza had a crust that was thin, yet not wimpy; it was firm, but not burnt. Ralph's sandwich was made from pizza dough bread and was filled with huge meatballs.
We'd like to go back again.

From out of state but saw a review on TikTok that gave this place a great rating. My husband and I agreed it’s some of the best pizza we’ve ever had!

📅 09.16.25 WRITTEN REVIEW Big Al’s Reel Reviews - EP.163 🍕 Mango’s Wood-Fired Pizza Co. 💎 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Spot' Old Mystic Village, CT This afternoon I pulled up to the Village of Mystic straight from BMW of Warwick in my new BMW M850i Gran Coupe to see if Mango’s could raise the B.A.R.R... because I was hungry. And they absolutely did. In fact, this spot just became a Big Al’s 💎 Gem Spot. Here’s how it all went down: 1️⃣ Wood-Fired Wings (Buffalo) - $15.95 BOMB! 💣 Eight perfectly wood-fired wings- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with buffalo sauce that hits just right. The blue cheese dressing deserves its own shoutout 💣😎 2️⃣ Oma’s Real Meatball Sandwich- $17.50 BOMB! 💣 These wood-roasted, hand-rolled meatballs were full of flavor and smothered in rich pomodoro sauce, tucked inside toasted rustic bread with melted provolone and parmesan. It comes with potato chips and a fresh crunchy pickle. 3️⃣ Small Mango’s Mozzarella Pie- ½ Mozzarella/Funky Monkey- $19.95 💣 DOUBLE BOMB! The cheese half? The best cheese pizza I’ve had on this side of the Thames River, perfect crust, flawless sauce-to-cheese ratio. The Funky Monkey half? 💣💣 DOUBLE BOMB! The heat level was spot-on and the flavor combo was straight 🔥. Verdict: Mango’s brought the flavor, the service (big shoutout to my server Jessica, who was mad cool 😎 🙌🏾), and the vibes. This is officially a Big Al’s Gem Spot, and one I’ll be coming back to again. ☝🏾❤️ - Big Al Mayo “See you on the Rebound, Peace✌🏾out”

If you want good pizza, this is NOT the place to get it. 🤢
My husband and I went to Mango's for the first time the day after Labor Day. As it was a work day, it wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. Servers were fine. We initially went inside, but it was way too loud, so we sat outside.
I ordered a salad and gluten free pizza. Salad had onions when I requested none (the server showed me that it was on the ticket, so the kitchen screwed up). No problem, I took them off.
Then, the pizza came. It looked okay, the cheese had nice brown spots. They burned the crust but I don't eat that anyway.
Picking up the slice was my first mistake. Pizza should be crispy enough so that you can fold it in half when you pick it up. This pizza was limp as a noodle. I picked it up and all the cheese slid off. My husband's pizza was not gluten free and it did the same thing.
Tasting it was my second mistake. When you bite into pizza, it should be crisp on the bottom and a bit softer towards the top. This pizza was like soggy wet bread. I've never had pizza this terrible in my life. It was so bad I asked for it to be removed from the bill because it was completely inedible and I wasn't paying for food I couldn't eat. As a NYer, I am leery about ordering pizza outside of NYC. I was right to feel that way at Mango's. Believe all of the one star reviews. If I could give less than one star, I would.
