Beautiful spot for dinner or lunch. I got the lobster roll and fries. One of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. Service was great. Our order was taken fast and promptly delivered to the window for us. The tables outside were decently attended to and was overall a nice spot to eat. Will for sure be back during the season!

For being a roadside outdoor stand this place had great food. The sea scallop dinner was so good! My husband got the fried clams and absolutely loved it. Also the view of the water is just a cherry on top. Don't sleep on this place it's great!

My wife and I stopped for dinner; we had the fried scallops, clam strips, 4pc shrimp cocktail, and the clam fritters. Everything was very good, except for the clam fritters (sorry to the local who suggested them, they were just a single piece of clam in the middle of a too large dough ball).
As you can see in the image included, the portion sizes are flipping huge.

Quintessential roadside, seafood and chipper! Nice outdoor seating area to dine al fresco when the weather is pleasant. Friendly service. Shrimp and tots were fried to perfection. Will definitely be back to sample lobster rolls and scallops.
Parking: This place gets crowded around popular meal times. The parking lot fills up quickly but spot turn over is good due to high volume of take out orders.
Was a reasonable balance of quality vs quantity just unseasoned.

During our visit to Mystic Connecticut in September of 2024, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the Sea View Snack Bar and we very much enjoyed our dining experience!!!
The restaurant’s staff were very friendly and welcoming, and did a great job on addressing our inquiries regarding the menu options.
Both my wife and I absolutely loved our meals and we definitely found it to be tasty, well-seasoned and incredibly delicious!!! I ordered and enjoyed my cheeseburger with fries while my wife ordered and enjoyed her fried shrimp and fries meals.
In addition to the great meal and service, my wife and I were amazed by the majestic and scenic view of the Mystic River, and the surrounding shoreline that’s positioned right near the restaurant. We happened to dine at the Sea View Snack Bar on a perfect, warm sunny day and we found the landscape and the river to be breathtaking!!!
When visiting Mystic Connecticut, both my wife and I highly recommended that you stop by and dine at the Sea View Snack Bar. You are guaranteed to have a wonderful meal and service along with enjoying outstanding river views!!!

The lobster rolls were out of this world - really tasty and a fraction of the price at some of the higher end places in Mystic. This is a great bare bones outdoor joint and the view was delightful. My (small) beef is that I was hoping for a hot butter option and the shrimp cocktail cost was a bit higher than I'd expected (but really good). Highly recommended and still 5 stars. We will be back!
