ZERO stars. We are not from the area so we were searching for restaurants online and this place was listed as a restaurant and it said that it was open according to the Google hours. Well, we got there and we found out not only is the place not even a restaurant, but it was closed anyway.

Excellent seafood! Stopped by to pick up some fish for home. I've been here a few times and the fish is outstanding quality! As good or better than most restaurants I've been to. I always stop here when I'm in Stonington and I will definitely be back!

I have been buying their clam chowder for years...always excellent. Perhaps this was just a bad batch or a new cook, but this time it was inedible. Mashed potatoes with clam broth. I took a picture so you could see what I'm talking about. I emailed them, not looking for a refund, but just to inform them of a bad batch. No answer. I would try it again, but just get one pint and see how it goes. My picture is the one with the blue plate.

I love fresh scallops and flash frozen is close enough from a place like this. take a package and put the cash thru the slot. Other frozen fish is also available so bring a cooler if you are going any distance. It is a wounderful thing that there are some people in the world who are just so nice you want to do business with them always.This is such a place.
A wholesaler who also sells to the public - 24 hours a day!, Off hours there is an "honor store" offering a wide variety of flash frozen selections of the weeks catch. Each package is vacuum packed and flash frozed, marked with seight and cost. Deposit the sach in the slot or run your card and follow the instructions to serve yourself. A wonderful local Stonington tradition!

I was told about this place by someone I work with. Since we were going to Mohegan Sun for a couple of days we thought we would try it. I stopped on our way home and picked up the scallops they we delicious. Next time we take a trip to CT we will be stopping by with a larger cooler and ice to take more home.

On our way home from Stonington to Sandy Hook, CT, our Innkeepers recommended we take some "Stonington scallop bomsters" from the Seafood Harvesters. What a great surprise! They offer much more than just scallops...we purchased 2 packages of scallops and 1 of shrimp...all flash frozen. We can't wait to have the first pound of scallops this weekend. And everything is on the honor system - so be sure to have cash!!

$20/lb. Thaw, rinse. Heat butter in olive oil (I use 5/10 on stove that runs hot.) Dust scallops with flour, salt, and pepper. 3min a side until light brown. Fresh lemon juice. So good!

This is the best place to buy seafood in NE CT (maybe all of CT!). Love the honor system payment, and they also let me use credit which comes in handy as I normally buy lots. And for out of state friends too. And normally there is someone in the "garage" to help you if needed, or just say Hi!. Many times its the owner, who is very nice and easy to talk to.
