Last evening I had what is possibly the best meal I’ve ever had in our area of SE Connecticut. We had the Tasting for Two at Whitecrest Eatery - Pork Schnitzel with Buttered Peas, Roasted Root Vegetables, and Lingonberry Compote. Absolutely everything was fresh, including the meat. The Schnitzel was light as a feather, the coating crisp, and the pork juicy and clean tasting. The peas were so delicious, I could have eaten a whole pot of them. I didn’t know food could taste this marvelous! Service was great, even the music playlist was fabulous! The dessert, Lemon Ice Cream with a raspberry reduction and crumbled cookie, was, again, light and refreshing, obviously fresh made. It was what I imagine dinner in heaven would be like.

I came for the Tartare as it caught my eye, and I had always wanted to try it. It was great. The local oysters were also amazing. I got the lamb for my entre and it was the best I have ever had. They set the bar for me on lamb and Tartare. Next time I am in town, I will stop in!

One of our favorite restaurants. Have been here upwards of 20 times or more and have never had a dish or cocktail we haven’t enjoyed. The best burger in town for sure and their sourdough is out of this world delicious. The menu changes often with a few staples so you’re never bored and can always try something new. Very fresh, always.Extremely talented team!

I am literally obsessed with this place. I came here once with my boyfriend because I was in the mill and was feeling hungry and we sat at the bar and the service was amazing the bartender was super friendly. The veggie burger and drinks were fantastic. Then I came here last night during their pop up pizza night completely on accident and I loved it. The pizza was perfect and they had merch I had to purchase because it was so cute! If I was still a server I would 100% try to work here because the vibes are amazing :)

A stunning disappointment. Considering how expensive and limited the menu is, a certain amount of quality is expected. This fell far from the bar. The Brussels sprouts were so over cooked they were nothing but black had it not been for the smothering of buffalo sauce they would have been completely inedible. The schnitzel dish I got was bland aside from the over powering flavor of roasted red peppers that clearly came from a can. The other three meals my party had were all very basic I wouldn't say they were bad but when your spending $50 a person you should be getting some very high quality food which we certainly did not. Once again I reiterate there is a very limited menu here and to have 4 out of 8 of your dishes be either bad or mundane is simply unexpectable. Now I could stop here and feel comfortable with my 1 star review but it would be amiss to leave out the incredibly slow service we received which in spite of the fact that I don't know who my sever was as every server in the restaurant visited our table at least twice. We had a couple sit down next to us after we had order our appetizers they were nearly done with their meals when we got our appetizers.

Today was my second visit and was just as enjoyable as the first. I really enjoyed their take on a Cob Salad. Wasn't traditional, as it didn't have meat, but that really worked out for me; the salad was nicely composed with great flavors. I also had the Veggie Burger, perfection. In a very generous gesture, we were gifted a loaf of bread and we were so appreciative. We used it to make French Onion soup, I'll def be back especially for the bread. Server was kind and very efficient, great experience overall
