Original, delicious, wood fired pizzas and Herbie's Famous Love Salad to make it all even better. The setting of a neighborhood pizza place coupled with friendly, hospitable service makes this place a true gem!

Loving having woodfellas in New London. Awesome food, added into the regular takeout rotation. Have had several great meals, the pizzas are amazing.

Our pizzas were good but our wings were a bit under fried, a few had a little pink near the bone. The location is great, we love the Velvet Mill but it is cold in the eating area so make sure to bundle up a bit.We would most certainly visit again on our next trip to the mill.

After ordering based on the price posted on their website, they up charged 10% on every item. When I went back I was told "That's an old menu, we can't change ANYTHING on Google". When I pointed out that it was on their own website, they were incredibly rude. Horrible customer service, will not be returning. So disappointed

Had pizza and wings. The wings were nice and big,not cooked through, and just some hot sauce splashed about,no love. Pizza looked great, once again not cooked enough and although fresh had a frozen pizza flavor. I brought it back explaining my issues with the food and was told " well I'm not giving you your money back just because you don't like it". Well okay that's just bad form. If you want to give it a whirl it's your money to waste

The pizza was just okay nothing special. Not actually wood fired. The waitress never came back spent more time waiting for another drink than actually eating. A bud light is 9 dollars because the draft system apparently isn’t updated in system. Heineken is 5 dollars in bottle comparatively. Charged 2 dollar fee to use debit card got a couple orders of French fries and a large pizza which was rather small for 60 dollars. Trying to be something their not.

The pizza itself gets 4 stars. The guy that works in the booth? The guy that drives the pick up truck? He lives the gimmick. Guy thinks he's Joe Pesci. Our company hired them for employee appreciation week, and while I was there for 10 minutes he yelled at no less than 4 of us. Snapped his fingers at us. Couple of us standing at least 10 feet back not in line, just looking at the menu from a distance he's shouting "come on guys, I need an order, let's go" with stank on it too. "What's you name?" With attitude. Not grateful our company is paying for well over 200 pies that day. Acted as if we were an inconvenience. I'd never go there, or seek them out simply based on that guy, possibly the owners terrible attitude.

I ordered the pizza fries abs a One Eyed Cody. My friend had the potato pizza. The fries were really good, fries, pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. A really nice combination. The pizza was excellent. A crisp yet chewy crust, flavorful sauce, abs tasty toppings. My friend said the potato pizza was the best potato pizza she had ever had. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.2.

This place has great pizza!!! But they are slow at orders, and on Sat/Sun, when they close at 8pm, they stop taking orders at 7pm….do they not want to make money? I am very confused. Some of my favorite pizza in the area but they need to figure out how to run an effective business.

Stopped here and ate while on out road trip through Connecticut. I had one of their Calzones and is was the best one I've ever had.

Decent tasting pizza with a slightly sweet sauce. Unusual setup for dining in.

I'm still debating this rating. The first time I tried pizza at Woodfellas it was in my top four pizza places in the Stonington Mystic area. My most recent visit was a bit disappointing . While the center of the pie was thin, moist and chewy, the way I like it , the edge tasted a bit dry. A couple of minutes too long in the oven? Woodfellas is pretty much no frills. Pizza, wings, salads. There are a few other things available but no sandwiches or entrees. The focus is on pizza. It's byob and beer is available down the hall at Beer'd. The pizza is thin crust and done in a wood fired oven. I had the Little Ceasar, just tomato sauce, olives anchovies and a bit of Romano. Lots of topping combinations are available. I will be back to see if the dry edge of the crust was an aberration. I'll probably try the wings as well.

First time at Velvet Mill. The pizza is great and so were the French fries. Will definitely come back now that we know what to do. For first timers it was a little confusing, where to sit where to order. Just a few suggestions; pull back the plastic curtains or put a sign outside saying come in and order. Have a full beverage cooler including bottle watered and diet sodas. When bringing food to the table , bring napkins.
