Stopped at the Jefferson Fry in Vernon Ct for takeout. Ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and a Classic burger. When I got home the crispy chicken was black, burnt to a crisp and inedible. I had throw it away. A total waste of money. I will not recommend Jefferson Fry and never eat at another one again.
I had previously loved the food here but today made me not want to come back to the UConn location again. I ordered a steak n cheese fries with a ginger ale. I was handed a cup and told drinks are around the corner. When I went to fill up there was no ginger ale, nor many other drinks on the menu. I ask if the ginger ale was in a bottle maybe and the young lady looked at me confused. I told her there was no ginger ale on the fountain. I'm visiting from out of state, and I like to find places to eat that I don't have back home. I love loaded fries, so this was a no-brainer for me. I ordered the taco fries without jalapeños. The service was great, the presentation was gorgeous, and the taste was excellent. The fries themselves, aside from any toppings, are thick-cut, earthy-tasting, legitimate freshly-made from handcut potatoes.
