Shout out to the owner of this establishment. While train derailment crews were staged at the fire house next to this restaurant the owner stayed open and just kept making food. No one asked, no one called, he just came over with tray after tray of food using whatever he had left for food supply. And by the way, the food was great.

The hype is definitely real about this place. I went yesterday and got 2 beef burritos. These burritos are the size of a basketball could easily make one burrito last 3 meals! The owner is the most chill down to earth guy, the vibes are so welcoming it feels like eating at home. Definitely give this place a shot!

I saw Connecticut Magazine's great review on TaCo and I drive by it often. I live 10 min from it by UCONN so I stopped in tonight on my way home from Xmas shopping in Willimantic to see if it lived up to the reviews. it did not disappoint!! I had the Mahi mahi taco and the smoked pork taco. Todd the owner is so cool and he smokes the chicken and pork on site. My mouth is on fire from the lemon armegeddon and street taco sauces I picked! And they have Hosmer Mtn soda! It is a hidden gem that is unasumming (you may miss it but look for the package store it is attached to) it's located in Storrs Mansfield on the 32 and 275 junction on the way to UCONN. Def will go back!

Absolutely amazing food, but that’s not even the best part. The owner is the friendliest most down-to-earth person. The meats along with the fresh-made tortillas just melt in your mouth. He also knows how to make a proper guac - creamy, flavorful and fresh. Its also a great deal considering the high quality of the food and ingredients, and the large portion sizes. There are also some really cool-sounding specials, like a Chicken Tikka Masala taco/burrito. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Definitely a must-try and a local staple.
The portions are MASSIVE. I was basically full after one taco. And those were the best chips I’ve ever had in my life. Also just the nicest dude working there. The meats were unbelievably tender, and the pork had an incredible smoky char on it. There’s also a whole bar of free sauces and limes, which really make it. I’d recommend trying at least 3 (free) sauces. I ordered in person and waited about 5 minutes for 2 tacos and a burrito. Don’t let looks deceive you. This is a hidden gem for real.
