Fire on the Mountain Smokehouse

I have been a return customer to this restaurant since they opened their doors. They accommodate my diet, and had food I was able to eat. The catfish is great, but I highly recommend the alligator mac & cheese! Probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at a restaurant, hands-down. I will be going there this afternoon to pick up an order of that for my dinner this evening at work. If you have the time to spare, I insist stopping in and trying anything on that menu. You will not be disappointed. Wally & Ed are also really great people who take the time to check in and make sure everything is to your liking

This is my first time here. I ordered the catfish tacos. The fish was broken up into little pieces. It was dry and flavorless. I went for the sour cream but that was frozen. I like to support small business but this was disappointing. They are a smokehouse maybe next time I’ll try something different.

I've been several times but not going anymore. The food is really good. The service and wait time is very hit and miss. Last visit I was told that I couldn't sit at the empty counter because people ahead of me were waiting for a table when all were full. When I tried explaining the logic of single seats being available and that it was just me, they wouldn't hear it. Hopefully they improve but I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Slowest BBQ ever. Had to leave without getting our food after waiting 30 minutes. The place was pretty empty. Little communication and the only person working the front seemed overworked. Overall a waste of time as we had to keep driving and find food elsewhere.

This place is incredible! The food was absolutely delicious, and the chef went above and beyond to make my dish just the way I requested. My server, Ray, was the absolute best. So attentive, polite, and friendly. My husband and I had such a great time that we went back two days in a row.

All the items we ordered were yummy: ribs, brisket, pulled pork,
yellow rice, crispy brussell sprouts. Service was friendly and attentive, They don't have a liquor license so no beer. We went here after visiting the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks.

We met a literal Ray of sunshine at Fire on the mountain! Our server not only handled our rowdy bunch but made us laugh the entire time!! The food was amazing and the service was fantastic… we will be back to try more of this menu!!

We went there 4 of us for the first time. Went on comments about the restaurant. I don't know what they had but what we had was horrible. Brisket taco meat was dry. Mac an cheese was not was described in the menu. Chicken very dry. Wings ok suppose to have celery and carrots they had none . Had to ask again for the blue cheese. I have no idea what I got but it was not good at all. I really think it was bad.

As always, amazing amazing amazing breakfast. Got the Hash Brisket Benny and OMG 😱 it was just fantastic.

Every time I eat here it is one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Love the cornbread waffles and gator tacos.

Absolutely delicious, I love finding new places on my journeys and fire on the mountain smokehouse did not disappoint

This place pays attention to detail. Food was top-quality and not sloppy fatty bbq food. I had a side
order of harvest hash and brisket hash along with the cornbread waffle. Heaven. Service was great.
Place is comfy and a Great spot fot family or casual date. Will be back.
