I really enjoyed my breakfast there. Had a Mexican breakfast but skipped the beans for home fries . The best I've had for a while. Went here with a old friend we try to do breakfast once a month to stay in touch. I wish the enchiladas were a bit bigger for the price. Coffee was supper. I even got the bottom of the pot I drink it black soni know good coffee. The waitress was so nice. .

First time visiting and we will definitely be back.
It was also pleasantly surprising to get the best cup of coffee a restaurant has given me in many years.
The staff was warm and friendly.
The service was excellent.
I shouldn't have to point this out but the chorizo in my breakfast has some spice to it. I loved it. Not the bland stuff I get everywhere else.

Two of us shared a waffle, and each had a meal. The homemade cornbeef hash was good, next time I would order bacon. It wasn't great for me, maybe even a bit overcooked, but good.
The eggs and potatoes were great. The coffee selection gets a five. The waffle was undercooked and came late to the table. Since it had fruit on it, we just ate it. It gave the experience a solid four.
Next time, we ask for a well-done waffle, and bacon. There will be a next time.

I’ve been coming to Esme & Rubys for the last several months. The coffee WAS delicious. The menu WAS amazing. Fast forward to June 2025… & I’m extremely unhappy with the direction that the restaurant is going.
Their new menus look great… physically and aesthetically… but their options are now very limited, pricing is also higher than previously.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, the restaurant is only open for breakfast & lunch. That being said…
My husband LOVED the Philly Cheesesteak Grinder. It was delicious and always his go to. We come in on a planned date only to find out it’s no longer available. Waitress checked & yes, they could still make it… yet they offer no grinder type bread… so that obviously won’t work.
I understand that the restaurant is under new ownership, but this is just sad. I really hope things take a turn for the better because I’m not sure that I’ll return at this point. 😭
ETA:
The Pulled Pork omelet was filled with very fatty meat. It was also dry which is unappealing. The Bacon Cheddar Omelet was good, but different than last time. Previously there had been a cheddar cheese sauce, this time it was just melted cheddar. But it was still ok. A bit pricey though in my opinion.

Great service and great dishes. A fantastic stop after a long weekend of camping! Delicious food!!
Went for breakfast. Staff was very friendly and personable. Food was bland. If you're looking for authentic Mexican, this isn't it. Mexican breakfast burrito smothered in what tasted like hunts tomato sauce out of a can with bell peppers added. Pinto beans were watery. Eggs had no seasoning. Instead of taking constructive critisism, the waitress went on the defensive.

There is no excuse for bad coffee, mine tasted like it was sitting on the burner half the morning. Just bitter and no matter how much cream and sugar I added I couldn't take the bitterness out of it. But The Omelette was very delicious, the spinach was fresh and it was very tasty and I especially loved the fried potatoes with those yummy bits of onions!
I did question what they are spreading on the toast as it honestly didn't taste like butter. I plan on coming back and trying something else

Great spot for breakfast/lunch! We got a veggie omelette, kid's mac n cheese, hamburger, and some waffles - everything was delicious and came out really quickly. Will definitely be returning to sit on their gorgeous new patio!

I have driven by this little place a few times and said to myself I gotta try it one day. Finally I had a chance to order take out for lunch. The burger was SOOOOOO good! Nice size, the flavor was spot on and super juicy. Fries were good too! Service inside was nice. Can't wait to try them for breakfast too!

We woke up this morning ready to go to Rozzi’s. When the line was ridiculous we searched on my. Phone for other places. Being 1000 ft away we opted for Esmeralda and Ruby’s. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was warm and attentive. But the thing that took the cake for us was that they had booths that fat people fit into comfortably. Both my boyfriend and I are large people and it was so refreshing to sit in a booth.. I had steak and eggs. I like soft scrambled which were perfect and the steak was well seasoned and the perfect temperature. The home fries were crispy and delicious. If this place blows up to have a wait I’m glad. They surely deserve it. Excellent experience!
