Party of 9 with reservation arrived at 4:45 PM and were greeted with welcoming smiles from everyone. Venue is beautiful with white lights, candles, furniture (which was very comfortable), and simple surroundings. Food is interesting and delicious as the majority of us tried different items. Best of all was the dynamic service we received from our professional server, Spencer. He was genuine and super attentive to our every need even before we asked. Recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, upscale dining experience. Thank you. We will return.

Went there with the family! Food and service was terrible. Meals are over priced and no flavor. Ordered the chicken sandwich, over battered and no flavor the same was for the fish and chips. The French fries were burnt and it looked like they had gotten them from the left overs from the bottom of the the frier. The spaghetti looked like Campbell's spaghetti. They offered to bring bread to the table and they just kept saying it was still in the oven. My brother ordered a beer and they never bought it to the table. We waited 30 to 45 minutes for each meal (Entree, main course and dessert). After the entree I wanted to leave, with the bad service. If they want to be charging that much for terrible meals they should at least hire a proper chef and get ride of that cook that they have. At the end they saw that we weren't happy and came to apologize for the bad meals and service, of course that was just to make sure they would get a tip. But you could see that coming and of course they were quick to bring the receipt to the table. And to top of off my wife and I got sick and were up all night in the bathroom. First and last time we go there. Don't bother going there.

Don't bother; overpriced and servers, although friendly, are not trained and very, very slow. Waited 10 minutes at the front desk for a hostess that never arrived. Ultimately found the rest of my party on my own. The food is not up to the prices they charge.

Anya is a hidden gem that delivers a full dining experience—not just a meal.
If you’re looking for frozen, flavorless food, this is not your place—because at Anya, everything is made fresh, nothing is frozen, and it shows in every bite. The dishes are always rich in flavor, beautifully plated, and thoughtfully prepared with care. It’s upscale American cuisine with a refined French influence, and every visit feels like a celebration.
The atmosphere? Exquisite. Sophisticated yet welcoming—perfect for date nights, celebrations, or just treating yourself to something truly special. The service? Impeccable. You feel taken care of from the moment you walk in until the very last sip of wine or espresso.
Now, I saw someone leave a 1-star review, and after a little digging, it seems they make a habit of leaving negative reviews across multiple places. Honestly, don’t let that skew your opinion. Anya consistently delivers top-tier service, fresh ingredients, and a level of hospitality that’s becoming rare.
If you don’t appreciate being taken care of or have a habit of complaining about paying for quality, then maybe this isn’t the place for you. But if you know that dining out is about more than just food—it’s about the entire experience—then you owe it to yourself to dine at Anya. It’s an absolute must-visit.

Very disappointing. The food was boring, the service was terrible, and the prices for what you get are ridiculously overpriced. For example, I ordered focaccia bread as an appetizer. There were 2 pieces of Italian bread (1”x1”x3” each) with some toppings. $15!!! My son-in-law ordered 6 oysters on the half shell. Instead, he received 4 Oysters Rockefeller. $24!! I ordered linguine with little neck clams. The pasta was undercooked and the watery sauce had no flavor. $32!!! My wife ordered Seafood Ravioli. There were 4 ravioli with a half ping-pong ball size of seafood in each one. The flavor was ordinary, at best. $44!!! Dishes and silverware were cleared before the entrees were served, which were then served with no replacement silverware. We waited a while before my daughter finally had to leave the table to go ask for forks. A young man brought spoons to the table! My dish was getting cold, so I started eating my linguine with a spoon. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Go somewhere else for a better dining experience, rather than this highly overrated place.

We had our wedding at Anya and made the right choice. They were attentive, helpful, and delivered everything as promised. All the professionals involved were deeply committed to our big day. Channing and Kara were wonderful. I felt cared for throughout the event by Kara, who always kept an eye on everything and took care of every detail.♥️

We always love visiting Anya in Thompson, CT. Last night was extra special. Our table was greeted with a sweet note wishing us a happy anniversary. Heather, our waitress, provided top-notch service throughout dinner. The new summer prix fixe menu is a steal - 3 courses for $38. The meal started with a small plate of homemade pub cheese and bread, accompanied by a blueberry patch mojito and Nantucket spritz. For appetizers, we enjoyed clam chowder, vichyssoise, and lobster rangoons loaded with huge chunks of lobster. The entrees were beef tenderloin tips and fish and chips with a light, crunchy batter. To finish, we indulged in key lime cheesecake and strawberry shortcake trifle. Thanks to the Anya crew and Heather for another unforgettable experience!
Everything was delightful. From the moment I walked in. Magnificent room and ambience. Come on a Saturday eve while the excellent pianist serenades the guests. Quality food. Quality service. I will certainly be back. Thank you!!
Highly Recommend Anya for a Memorable Dining Experience Tonight, my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Anya, following a recommendation from someone in Pomfret—and we were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxing evening. My husband ordered the Chateaubriand, which was beautifully prepared, and I had the spring salad along with oysters on the half shell—everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We both enjoyed a glass of Santa Margherita Chianti, which paired perfectly with our meals. To finish, we split the tiramisu, and it was the perfect sweet ending—light, rich, and delicious. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Anya to anyone looking for top-tier cuisine!
