I went to the Trumbull location on 4/21/25 at around 1:45pm. I walked in and there was no one at the counter, I assumed they were in the back doing something. I did see a lady in a table in uniform but I did not want to bother her as I thought she might be on break or something since she was on her phone and I hate to be the type of person to bother employees on their breaks. I waited for a bit but no one came to the counter so I decided to politely ask her if there was someone around to help me she replied “we are closed, everything is shut down” with a bit of attitude to which I replied that I was only looking to place an order for the next day. She got up annoyed did not say anything and handed me a paper to fill out with the information of the order. I thought about just walking out at that moment but I was already there and I needed to place the order for my company. At this moment a gentleman came from the back who greeted me nicely he was the complete opposite of the other employee. I handed him the completed paper, he checked it and said the order would be ready and was very nice throughout. I went in the next day to pick up my order and was greeted warmly by an employee named Cam, he was also very nice and super friendly. He took his time with my order and helped me bring it to my car
Those two employees were absolutely amazing!! 🙌 and also the only reason for me giving 4 stars to my review
If it wasn’t for those two employees that were super nice I would probably never come back to this location.

I see this place from the window at my physical therapy and always wanted to try it out. Add I was driving over, I almost thought the place was shut down bc from outside of looks so dark and the parking lot wasn't very full. But up close, I could see one patron sitting inside by the window. So I went in and was immediately greeted by a gentleman. Inside was brighter than you'd think, so the tint on the windows must be crazy. The interior setup was weird because it seemed more like a family dining restaurant than a bagel place. There were booths and big tables. Most people don't go for bagels with their families. If you read my other reviews, you'll see I've been to a few local places and most just have small tables with a few chairs, enough space for a bagel and a coffee. But anyway, I ordered my usual lox and cc sandwich, which comes with tomato, onion, and capers. It was roughly 10 bucks. Got a cup of OJ, too. My food was prepped in decent time, and I was off. My bagel was so-so. The smoked salmon is usually the most expensive sandwich you'll get in a bagel place, and I expect a bit more than what I got. The tomato was thicker than the salmon- which was skimpy. There was minimal cream cheese. The onions were raw. The capers were kind of dry. The bagel itself was pretty good, though, but not even close to the best I've had. All in all, I will probably not come back here. To spend 15-20 bucks on breakfast, I expect to be a bit blown away. And other places have shown it can be done. I just can't accept less anymore.

I am not one to leave bad reviews on food service places because I understand that every place has bad days, but the things I witnessed while shopping at Brueggers made me never want to return. I have been a customer at Brueggers for awhile and have never seen this establishment the way I did the 2 times I went within the last month and a half. While making a trip to get a bakers dozen, I encountered an older white women, presumably the manager. I watched her raise her voice and give an attitude to one of her younger employees for asking a question. The younger employee was taking orders during the rush, taking phone calls and even offering to help the manager as she was dealing with the food. This is something I deem completely unacceptable, especially as the worker was extremely sweet and the most respectful person I have encountered at Brueggers. I took a short break from eating at this location after that incident, I then decided to visit again on February 22nd, needless to say I wish I never gave this company my money. By 10AM they were sold out of almost all bagels, with workers seeming immensely stressed and overworked for a tiny bagel shop. The management of this store is terrible, the employees are mistreated and the manager is a mean snobby women. She treats all customers like family but treats the employees that help her run the establishment like less then. You are better off giving your money to Dunkin or Starbucks, do not support this company. Ever since their male manager left, I am not positive of his name, this company has gone down hill. I strongly encourage anyone reading to shop at another location, as I refuse to give my money to a shop that treats their employees so terribly.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually left a google food reveiew before, but this changed me. This bagel is RAW. Not even remotely close to being cooked. As an employee who touches bagels all day every day how can you let someone walk out the door with this. This is my second time here and will literally never go back. I don’t even want my money back. Hopfully it will go towards extra training!

Amazing food! Great service! The prices are reasonable. The bagels are always fresh. I highly recommend the Smokehouse Brisket bagel.

I am soo disappointed in this location and Shelton's as well. I walk in to the shop and see that they have a "baker's dozen bundle" which I was happy with as I was going to a breakfast event. When I approached the cou ter to order I was told that I couldn't purchase the baker's dozen because they had a shortage.od bagels. Apparently they had oven issues but what does that have to do with limiting a customer's ability to make a purchase. Be advised that there was a sign on the door indicating they were closing at 2p and it was already 10a. I proceed to the Shelton location and got the same exact story. Thank you for having running from one location to another, not allowing me to make a purchase of what I needed and the added taste of sarcasm from the Shelton location employee and the register.

I don't know how the staff can be so friendly, and accommodating, at six in the morning, but they are fantastic! Whether I'm popping in for a dozen bagels for a family breakfast, or just a sandwich on my way to work, I've never been disappointed! The bagels are made fresh, daily, and there is a great variety of flavors to choose from.
